Meet Santiago Vera, one of the newest local artists featured at the Art Spot! Hailing from La Palma, Chiapas, Mexico, Santiago holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visuals from the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas (UNICACH). With experience as a painting and drawing teacher, he has showcased his work in numerous exhibitions in Mexico. From 2020 to 2023, he served as a cultural promoter for the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples and Afro-Mexicans (INPI) in Chiapas, MX. In 2024, Santiago moved to Summit County to pursue new artistic opportunities.

🌎 ¡Conoce a Santiago Vera, uno de los artistas locales más nuevos que aparecen en Art Spot! Originario de La Palma, Chiapas, México, Santiago es licenciado en Artes Visuales por la Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas (UNICACH). Con experiencia como profesor de pintura y dibujo, ha mostrado su trabajo en numerosas exposiciones en México. One of the new artists in the Maker's Market is Emily Rampolla. Emily has always had a huge love for horses and a passion for painting. In 2022, she moved from Denver to Summit County, where she found jobs on ranches, started working with horses and riding again. Feeling more inspired than ever, Emily continued creating pieces, while keeping Western fine art influences in mind. Come see her work at the Art Spot!

🎨 Meet Nick Slaton, our Maker of the Month, at the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace! 🌟 From a young age, artist Nick has had a deep passion for the arts, with music at its core. At the Art Spot, Nick enjoys having access to all the tools he needs in one place, along with the space to create. In the future, Nick hopes to build more snare drums and percussion accessories—maybe even making his own drumsticks on the lathe.
