It is with a greatfull yet heavy heart that we make this announcement.....Big Fish Trading Company will be closing its doors at the end of March to pursue other avenues of interest. We wish to thank every one of our Big Fish family of customers for the BEST 13 years of business that anyone could ever ask for. I want to especially thank GOD...my wife Amy...my mother Peggy..my other mother Cindy...the best carpenter in the world Morgan...and the best painter ever Tess...without them this journey would not have been possible...This team made the impossible possible on a daily basis..and for that we are eternally greatfull...we look forward to the new chapter GOD has presented to all of us and leave you with a heart full of thanks and gratitude.....THANK YOU ❤️

Lost my job today. I have an idea, take a listen…

I was going to wait until the new year before making this post. I wanted to give myself more time before putting this out in the stratosphere. But after some time of thinking and self reflection, I’ve decided to go ahead and make this post. This has nothing to do with anyone but myself. I love all of my customers and there’s a friendship between you and I, that we’ve built over the years. Before I announce this I want you to know that my life has been centered so much around TomBoy that I have lost out on moments I will never get back. I would work my full time job, run home eat standing up, to run out to my shop to work on stuff for the next festival. I would do that every day. On days that I didn’t work my job, that I would work from early in the morning until late at night. I very rarely gave myself any time off. I became hyper focus on TomBoy that everything or everyone else was a blur or an inconvenience. Life, my life needs balance and I need to find that. I need to find my center. I haven’t been in my shop since October and I haven’t missed it. So with that I’m going to take some time off, a gap year maybe? Who knows it could be a permanent thing, I’m not burning any bridges that one day I may have to cross. But for now TomBoy Designs is closed for business. I wish y’all the very best in everything.
