Oh I love this seagull. He is confident- so am I. They all keep changing. Layer upon layer. Colors aren’t right Painting freely inside out then visual research from photos an websites outside in. Birds who stood still trying to take flight. Inside out. Outside in. Composition and colors are a bit off but I trust the process.

So much erasing. One painting is possibly painted again and again hundreds of ways even good things get lost and we can’t get them back and the painting transforms as soon the brush touches the canvas. The artist has plans but they don’t know what it will be when it is complete. Letting go of bits and pieces that made us smile dissappear with a moment of frustration that will have to be forgotten as well. Moving forward and seeing what is meant to be. the process.

As I was putting the trash out this dragon fly flew into my hair and fell to my feet. I could not see its wings. It looked like a leaf totally freaked me out. I poked it. When it landed on the screen I saw its wings. I have never see one like this. Have you?

I do both. I think it’s where the disappointment comes in. Overthinking sucks.
I always think too BIG and have good intentions. Positive it will work or be finished on time. But no. I was overthinking and so positive.

With a summer job that gives me Fridays off gives me permission to stay up late and sleep in in the morning. A fish has now transformed into a seagull. Tying to keep the same pallet as the painting “Turning of the Tides”. https://leela-payne.pixels.com/featured/turning-of-the-tides-leela-payne.html They say spirit animal of a seagull is to remind us to be free of worry and anxiety. Be adaptable, resourceful and free. This will not look like this in the end. This is just what I have pulled from the paint. Can’t wait to see where this journey will end up.
