LeBarron Studios B2B professional photography, photojournalism, and technical writing for automotive industry content creators. 25yr industry experience. Published works.

SEMA member... likes landscape & wildlife too :)
A LeBarron Marketing Services LLC brand. After 25 years in small-meduim business marketing I took a leap of faith into my own hobby business. I've always had a passion for photography and often found myself shooting products, lifestyle and corporate photography around the needs of a business. Commericial work would find it's way into magazines, we

bsites, print catalogs, and e-commerce. Then one day my job changed and I discovered just how much creativity fuels my soul. I invested in a professional Nikon D850 camera (48MP, up to 20"x30" print, 40"x60"+ mid-res), some lenses and gear, editing software, and embraced the entrepenuer spirit. The result is LeBarron Studios. Independently I enjoy capturing the great outdoors and the natural beauty that surrounds us. On many commutes around the Southern Tier of New York and Northwestern Pennsylvannia I often thought the landscape would make beautiful wall art. I hope you agree.

If you’ve followed LeBarron Studios, you know my background. I do technical writing for national automotive titles like Dragzine and EngineLabs, and I serve as the volunteer Chair-Elect for the Motorsports Product & Media Council (MPMC) at SEMA thru my full-time employer. My writing is booked because I understand the mechanics, relationships, and conveying the valuable meaning. My photography art is routinely curated for local gallery exhibits and shows.

In my world, fluff doesn't survive. Every line, every image, and every asset must communicate with absolute authority over time. That often means low vanity metrics, but high conversion.

Lately, I’ve been looking at the live music scene through that exact same editorial and technical lens.

**Let's be incredibly clear what I am looking for.**

I have zero interest in shooting standard bar cover bands, and I'm not here to contribute to the sea of algorithmic AI slop drowning the internet right now. I am looking for original creatives. Artists who are building something authentic, dialing in their own analog tones, writing their own narratives, and executing a live set like a finely tuned machine.

My editorial and industry schedule is locked in straight through August, so I’m not chasing quick weekend gigs or fighting other photographers. I'd like to slightly diversify and take the exact same gallery-curated photography, editorial strategy, and corporate sponsorship tactics I see at the highest levels of the automotive aftermarket and racing world and apply them to just one or two ascending, original acts over the next year.

If you're a regional band drawing crowds and actively scaling up for festival lineups, theater stages, or national brand partnerships, you’ve outgrown casual media. You'll need a premium asset engine that treats your original live set like a high-end feature story:

🏟️ **The Room Architecture:** Immersive, wide-angle documentation from behind the backline looking out, visually proving the absolute scale of your draw to theater bookers and talent buyers.

🎸 **The Rig Mechanics:** Sharp, precise technical detail shots that treat your instruments, custom boards, and ex*****on with the respect I give to a custom-built race engine.

🎛️ **The Production Value:** A deep respect for the frontend and backend of the show. Documenting the venue's assets (audio setups, lighting grids, and front-of-house ex*****on) to tell a complete story that appeals directly to commercial sponsors.

Admittedly, I’m new to the music scene, but I'm well experienced when it comes to deadline-driven technical journalism, compelling photography, and industry media leadership. If your band operates at a high level and you want a strategic partner who can write and shoot your craft with professionalism and authority, let's talk.

We have all Summer to map out the strategy. Let’s build the back half of 2026.

📩 DM me your current EPK, tell me where the band is scaling next, and let’s see if we’re a good fit to build together.

Stoked to see this one hit Dragzine.com! We put together a comprehensive, evergreen guide on dry sump oil systems—covering everything from pump stages and plumbing sizes to preventing oil cavitation at high RPM.

Massive thanks to Jim Bianca, Tech Dept Supervisor and Penelope Moroso, Marketing Director at Moroso Performance Products, Inc. for their invaluable tech oversight and imagery on this article.

Highly appreciate the support from POWER Automedia and the team behind the scenes. Give it a read and let me know what you think!

Learn why wet sumps fail in motorsports and how dry sumps ensure survival. We break down pump stages, plumbing, and pressure.

I’ve been working on this tech story for a bit and I’m stoked to finally share it. Currently a featured tech article on Dragzine.✍️

Electrical systems aren't always the "flashiest" part of a build, but if your fuel pump or coils aren't getting the power they need, especially at idle, nothing else matters.

I learned a lot putting this together with Performance. Give it a read and let me know what you think!

Master your charging system: calculate true idle amp draw, respect the 18,000 RPM limit, and ensure a perfect engine ground.

Sound Check: Why Your Photographer Needs to Understand the Mix 🎚️📸

If you’re a venue or a band, you know that the "perfect show" is a precise mix of atmosphere, energy, and technical skill.

This shot isn't about a mixing board; it’s a direct metaphor for my approach to music photography.

Audio Engineers know that a great mix requires isolating the right frequencies, balancing the levels, and knowing exactly when to "turn the crowd up."

Photojournalists do the same thing visually. We have to isolate the decisive moment, balance the harsh stage lighting, and know how to capture the 'vibe' of the crowd without cluttering the story.

This deep technical understanding, combined with my professional marketing background, is why I don't just "take photos." I build high-value media kits that serve as your core promotional assets.

When you book a gig with me, you get a creative partner who speaks the same language as your sound crew:

✅ The Full Mix: Documentation of the production from multiple angles
✅ Asset Diversification: Content formatted for sponsor pitch decks, tour posters, and digital platform headers.
✅ Optimized Post-Production: Edits that enhance your unique "sound" visually.

Don’t just archive your show. Leverage it. I’m currently booking for Summer and Fall 2026 in and around Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. Let’s talk and make your next performance look as legendary as your sound check.

Stop archiving your shows. Start leveraging them. 🎸

If you’re a band or venue owner, you know that a great performance only lives as long as the memory of the crowd - unless you have the right assets to back it up.

When I’m shooting a show, I’m looking for more than a pretty picture. I’m looking for a "moment of impact." Take this shot, for example. You can practically hear the chord being struck and it invites you in to the next show.

I don't just "take photos." I build high-value media kits that serve as your core promotional assets. When you book a gig with me, you get more than a digital gallery:

✅ Optimized Content: Stills and clips edited and formatted for immediate social deployment.
✅ Asset Diversification: High-res shots specifically planned for sponsorship pitch decks, tour posters, and press kits.
✅ Brand Consistency: Professional-grade media that reinforces your identity.

Don’t just capture the night. Leverage it. I am currently booking for Summer and Fall 2026 festival sets, concert dates, and outdoor music series in and around Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

📩 DM or email [email protected] and let's talk.

The view from the stage is different.

It's the energy exchanged, not just the notes played. It's that momentary connection with the crowd. As a visual storyteller, my goal is to capture the grit, the sweat, and the unseen moments that define a show.

As a marketing professional, I also know a great photo needs to do work. A blurry cell phone shot won't book your next gig.

I don't just "take photos." I build high-value media kits that serve as your core promotional assets. When you book a gig with me, you get more than a digital gallery:

✅ Optimized Content: Stills and clips ready for immediate social deployment.
✅ Asset Diversification: Shots planned and edited for custom assets like sponsorship pitch decks, tour posters, and Spotify headers.
✅ Brand Consistency: Media that reinforces your identity.

Don’t just capture the night. Leverage it.

If you’re a venue in Western New York looking to sell out your next summer series, or an artist building your next electronic press kit, let’s talk.
