If you’ve followed LeBarron Studios, you know my background. I do technical writing for national automotive titles like Dragzine and EngineLabs, and I serve as the volunteer Chair-Elect for the Motorsports Product & Media Council (MPMC) at SEMA thru my full-time employer. My writing is booked because I understand the mechanics, relationships, and conveying the valuable meaning. My photography art is routinely curated for local gallery exhibits and shows.
In my world, fluff doesn't survive. Every line, every image, and every asset must communicate with absolute authority over time. That often means low vanity metrics, but high conversion.
Lately, I’ve been looking at the live music scene through that exact same editorial and technical lens.
**Let's be incredibly clear what I am looking for.**
I have zero interest in shooting standard bar cover bands, and I'm not here to contribute to the sea of algorithmic AI slop drowning the internet right now. I am looking for original creatives. Artists who are building something authentic, dialing in their own analog tones, writing their own narratives, and executing a live set like a finely tuned machine.
My editorial and industry schedule is locked in straight through August, so I’m not chasing quick weekend gigs or fighting other photographers. I'd like to slightly diversify and take the exact same gallery-curated photography, editorial strategy, and corporate sponsorship tactics I see at the highest levels of the automotive aftermarket and racing world and apply them to just one or two ascending, original acts over the next year.
If you're a regional band drawing crowds and actively scaling up for festival lineups, theater stages, or national brand partnerships, you’ve outgrown casual media. You'll need a premium asset engine that treats your original live set like a high-end feature story:
🏟️ **The Room Architecture:** Immersive, wide-angle documentation from behind the backline looking out, visually proving the absolute scale of your draw to theater bookers and talent buyers.
🎸 **The Rig Mechanics:** Sharp, precise technical detail shots that treat your instruments, custom boards, and ex*****on with the respect I give to a custom-built race engine.
🎛️ **The Production Value:** A deep respect for the frontend and backend of the show. Documenting the venue's assets (audio setups, lighting grids, and front-of-house ex*****on) to tell a complete story that appeals directly to commercial sponsors.
Admittedly, I’m new to the music scene, but I'm well experienced when it comes to deadline-driven technical journalism, compelling photography, and industry media leadership. If your band operates at a high level and you want a strategic partner who can write and shoot your craft with professionalism and authority, let's talk.
We have all Summer to map out the strategy. Let’s build the back half of 2026.
📩 DM me your current EPK, tell me where the band is scaling next, and let’s see if we’re a good fit to build together.
