Hi Live Music Enthusiasts!
A wonderful opportunity for a concert has presented itself. A classical string quartet comprised of
Violinist – Mari Lee, a Carnegie Fellow since 2017 and an alternate violinist with the NY Philharmonic Orchestra
Violinist – Brigid McCarthy, Concertmaster for the LCSO
Violist – Jorge Martinez-Rios, Conductor for the LCSO, Latin Grammy winner
Cellist – Zachary Mowitz from the LA Philharmonic Orchestra
Mark your calendar for this special concert Tuesday November 10. Tickets are $20/adult and will go sale late June/early July.
We are working on trying to arrange a Dinner & Concert event for this and hope to make an announcement in the next few weeks.

The GCCCA's Early Bird sale is on till the end of June. The price for a 2026-27 season subscription is just $55 until June 30 then increases to $65 for the 5 concerts.

The last concert of the 2026-27 season features Simply 3. Though described as a classical crossover string trio, that doesn't do them justice. Simply Three, has been captivating audiences worldwide with high-octane performances since 2010. Setting them apart from other touring acts is their unique repertoire, which transcends genres by featuring artists and composers like Adele, Gershwin, Ed Sheeran, and Michael Jackson. They will be performing Thursday March 18, 2027 both a regular evening concert and an Educational Outreach Program at the WNMU Fine Arts Center Theater.

The 4th concert in our series features Stefan Schyga & Ricky Malichi performing flamenco music. They are a wonderful duo capturing the soul of this genre. In 2025 Stefan won the New Mexico World Music Award for his song Mis Viajes.

The GCCCA’s 3rd concert, Jan 19, 2027 features CeCe Teneal’s Divas of Soul. Award-winning vocalist CeCe Teneal delivers the "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" that the queens of music deserve in her show "Divas of Soul." This spectacular celebration of fifty years of chart-topping music from artists like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, and more has wowed audiences worldwide. Besides her many awards she was the headliner for the 2019 Citrus Bowl halftime show.

The GCCCA 2026-27 concert season will start with fan favorite Ilya Yakushev on Oct 15. Ilya has been to Silver City several times, the most recent the end of our 2024-25 season when he helped us out by filling in for a group that had canceled. Little did we know he was in St. Petersburg RU. He rearranged his schedule just to help us out, flying to Dallas, renting a car to drive to Silver City, perform, then head back to St. Petersburg! Incredible!

What a GREAT concert to end the 2025-26 season with! The Waddington Brothers were amazing.

Now time to look to the 2026-27 concert season! We have 5 incredible concerts scheduled featuring a diversity of genera. To kick off the season we have Ilya Yakushev returning, a Silver City fan favorite. The second concert features Piano Men: Generations, the music of Elton John & Billy Joel. The first concert in 2027 is CeCe Teneal’s Divas of Soul. Next is Stefan Schyga & Ricky Malichi performing flamenco style music on guitar and drums. The last concert is Simply Three, a classical crossover string trio with a unique sound all their own.

LAST CONCERT OF THE SEASON!
Features The Waddington Brothers, the 2023 International Bluegrass Band competition winners who perform both bluegrass and cowboy music such as from the Sons of the Pioneers.
The concert is on Thurs March 5 at 7:00 PM in the WNMU Fine Arts Center Theater.
Adult tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Pink Store on Bullard or on-line.
Kids to age 17 admitted free of charge.
