The City of Silsbee is holding a public workshop this Thursday June 11th from 5:30-6PM at City Hall to talk about a new comprehensive plan in the works.

The comprehensive plan is a long-range guide that helps the city shape decisions around land use, transportation, economic development, and community priorities for the years ahead.

Please attend the meeting if you can. Also, please scan the QR code in the flyer attached for a brief questionnaire to have your voice heard!

A couple years ago we had the pleasure of interviewing a lovely young lady and former Miss Silsbee, Jalaina Harris.

She then went off to college at the University of North Texas to pursue her dreams in the field of journalism.

This young lady has a passion for telling stories and writing about the beauty of what life truly is about.

Which is why we are so proud to let yall know that she is now part of the Satsuma Valley Standard family!!!
