With work at TrainWorx being the busiest time of the year, I did manage to have time to install the new medium steam soundboard from the Electric RR Company into this old and restored Pre-war set. This gal has came a long way from when I started. I will try to post more before Christmas but if I can't I would like to tell y'all to have a Merry Christmas and remember, this is the time where you can drink all the eggnog you want and play with your trains!

Getting closer to completing this restoration. I actually found out the original owner had painted over it rather poorly so I decided to repaint it with a glossy black to give it that toy train look.

Decals were also made and placed for the numbers on the side of the engine.

My next project with this will to add an Electric RR medium steam sound board in just for the sheer enjoyment of having nice sounds and to get peoples attention at shows.

Let me know how I am doing on my first restoration. Better photos will be taken after I am done setting up a layout in Charlotte, NC.

It has been a long time since I have posted and I do apologise. We are very busy at TrainWorx, if you are interested in what it is we do go and check it out! But following the restoration. I have the cars completely restored, the tender is completely restored but the engine is in rather bad shape so it is sitting in pieces on my work bench ready to be cleaned up and restored. Also have a few more weathered cars to show off next week so keep an eye out for those 😉

I bought this engine for a great deal and everyone was asking me when and if I would weather it. I told them, of course! I picked up the engine and had it for a total of 15 hours before I weathered it.

Did something new. This took two weeks to repaint and weather. This is a Lionel Trains tugboat that was in a New York Central paint and is now in a Chicago & Eastern Illinois paint. This will go on the layout that Mike is working on in North Carolina. I'll be sure to post pictures of it on the layout when it gets installed.

Just recently bought one of my favorite types of cars, the gondola. I love these in particular because of how beat up and worn out they are, so of course I had to get one to try and replicate that. Custom load inside as well and the pipes are straws I stole from my girlfriends cup without her knowing 😬, wasn't good when she found out. Also want to point out, thanks to Mike Reagan for showing me how to weather with oil paints, this is the first one that I've done oil paints plus powder and airbrush. I'm quite happy with the outcome.
