Signal Mountain Playhouse

Signal Mountain Playhouse Bringing a unique theatre experience to Signal Mountain since 1972! The Signal Mountain Playhouse is a not for profit volunteer organization.

The Playhouse operates with a board of twenty four members, elected for three year terms and rotating eight members each year. This is a working board, with each member directly involved with a specific responsibility in the production of a show. For the first few years, only one outdoor production in the summer was presented. After a while, some adults wanted a chance to present plays outside of the usual youth oriented shows, so an indoor winter production was added. Recent productions include Annie in 2019 and Harvey in 2020 (before Covid restrictions began). Although we took a year off, foregoing our Summer 2020 and Winter 2021 productions, we are glad to be back on stage and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Playhouse!

The Playhouse welcomes those with disabilities. To access handicapped parking during our summer show, you may drive do the theater driveway on Rolling Way, remove the orange cones, drive through, replace the cones, and proceed to the designated handicapped parking places. There is a handicapped equipped porta potty near the stage.

A Symphony of Seasons: Celebration of Theatre on the Mountain brings together a dynamic, gifted mix of new and tenured performers to serenade our community with a blend of familiar and new songs. It’s finally here! We can’t wait to see you all and the songs you bring to the table! A reminder that solos are not guaranteed, you may not sing the song you audition with, and there will be ensemble numbers to move and sing in. In the event of storms auditions will be held at the same time in Signal Crest United Methodist Church at 1005 Ridgeway Ave, Signal Mountain, TN 37377

Drop off your sellable items at the Playhouse Rehearsal Pavilion by this Thursday, 8/6, to help raise as much money as possible to fund much needed repairs to our workshop, orchestra pavilion, and tech buildings.

Don’t forget to drop by our yard sale booth in the Signal Crest parking lot in 8/7 and 8/8 to find some special playhouse treasures!
