We just finished up revamping the animatronic bear from Timber Mountain Log ride at Knotts, just in time for the reopening. Rebuilt from the ground up, including all new soft fluffy fur!

We’re excited to announce that Encirco Studios has expanded!

Shown here is one of several newly built stages dedicated exclusively to our Animation Department. These purpose-built spaces are designed to support stop-motion animation, practical effects, and miniature productions, allowing our teams to push creativity even further.

Leading our new Animation Department is animator Eli Turner, and we can’t wait to share the incredible work that will come out of these stages. Stay tuned—there’s a lot more to come.

We’ve recently started a Podcast for the shop. We have a few episodes up available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon and anywhere you listen to podcast. We discuss the ups and downs of making a living in the creative industry. We also talk to guest and discuss their experiences and some random topics. Please listen and subscribe! A few weeks ago we created a custom ice block chair, for one of the White Lotus stars and BlackPink’s Lisa Manoban new music video “When I’m with you”. This was one of those challenging builds, since it needed to be built in 2 1/2 days from scratch. Our process was to sculpt 3 different ice blocks out of clay, make 3 separate molds and roto-cast 25 individual block out of a clear resin. The single block image shown, was a test casting, intended for determining the color and thickness of of each block. The structure was built out of a clear, acrylic type material so light could pass through and would be structurally sound. Fun project, great team and awesome client!

If you had a chance to catch the Tree lighting ceremony last Christmas Season at The Grove, you might have seen Santa’s new sleigh we built. Our favorite part of what we do here at Encirco Studios is taking on different challenges from build to build. Always so proud to work with such talented, adaptable and capable artist.

Our team at Encirco Studios just finished the construction and installation of a Steam mule engine, modeled after the original one Bud Hurlbut built for the timber mountain log ride . Always a great honor being part of any creative projects at such a historical theme park. Bud Hurlbut never really received the creative credit he truly deserved for all the innovations he pioneered and created that other major parks use till today. The original steam engine was built from steel, but this one was built using different materials such as. Fiberglass, wood, ABS plastics, resins and many other materials. This engine is powered by an electric motor for easy repairs and maintenance. If you have a chance to head to Knott’s Berry farm, take a ride on the log ride and check out the steam engine.
