So my new color palette is up and running now for the next year or so. I will be using these 5 color combos. Top left, black and teal. Top right, rust and suede. Bottom left, leaf green and purple. Middle, leaf green and rusted bronze. And raspberry and teal. Comment your favorite

Well, Expo was a wrap about a month ago. Now I am preparing for some weekend shows. First up, Mother's Day weekend in Prescott. I didn't have much left when AZFAE finished so I have been working hard to get my inventory back up. This piece was the largest one I sold this year, and I hope to do some more like it this summer. Stay tuned for my new color palette in my utilitarian pieces.

It has been 2 years since I closed the store in the mall. I'm quite relieved to have that behind me. Along with that, I am leaving Mountain View Pottery as a name behind now as well. I am perhaps resigned to the permanency of my relocation to Sierra Vista. This is it, no more moves. So with that I have adopted a name more fitting of what I am now doing and where I now am. So let me introduce "Isla Cielo Art". This reflects both my new location and direction as an artist. Sierra Vista sits right in the middle of a part of the state referred to as the sky Island, that is the meaning of the name. The climate is actually quite idyllic; not too hot and not too cold. I am now far more than just a potter. I incorporate stained glass into my ceramic pieces and do stained glass as a stand alone art as well. I am making sculptures and more now as well. Thanks to all who have supported me through the years. I hope to bring you new and exciting work as I begin to drive toward new goals as an artist.

Mountain View Pottery and Mountain View Gallery will be closing in the mall at the end of this month. This has been a 3 year experiment with a brick and mortar operation that Sierra Vista is not large enough to support. I thank all of the wonderful customers we have had over the past 3 years!!! I am not going away, and I am still doing pottery, but I am refocusing my efforts to art shows and wholesale. Classes will continue through Cochise College. Sincerely, thank you to those who have supported us!!

So, while I begin to focus more on my pottery and step back from the gallery side, we are going through a major shift. I am pleased to be passing the reins of the gallery to a new team of folks that will give it the attention I have not been able to. WE ARE NOT MOVING and will remain in The Mall at Sierra Vista. Many new artists are bringing in their work and there is still room for more. If you are an artist who needs a place to display your work or even teach a class, get in touch. We would love to discus how we can work together.

With one month to the start, we have filled all of the classes. Sometimes people change their minds and forfeit their deposits, so, contact me if you want to be on standby for a class. Thanks all for a great response to the classes.

One month to the start of the next block of classes and we are already down to 2 spots left in 5 classes. I have one place in Tuesday nights at 6pm and one spot in Saturday afternoons at 3pm. Again, this is the last block until April of 2023.
