Alert: my page was hacked and someone was sending out posts stating that my Guitar Makers classes were starting again and asking for deposits and sign ups. The other post showed pictures of guitars I made and stated that I was trying to sell them. Those are both FALSE posts and completely untrue. Do not respond to them.

In the past I’ve posted photos of a variety of students at various stages in the building of their guitars. In this case I am displaying the work of one student’s experience in building two instruments - a chronological study of the steps involved from the beginning to end of the building process. It doesn’t include every step along the path, but it does give you a look at what’s involved, including a view of many of the tools and machines you’ll be using when you take my class. I hope you find it interesting.

Exciting News! Guitar Makers will resume instruction on May 4th. Due to COVID considerations, just one class will be available and limited to 4 students.

The course will run for nine weeks on Tuesday nights from 6-9 pm.
Typically, new students build Strat and Tele style guitars, but other models are also possible. My students have successfully built instruments patterned after the Les Paul as well as bass guitars.

* Tuition: $499, plus materials.
* All students will need to be fully vaccinated against the virus
(vaccination card must be provided),and masks will be worn in
the shop.
* Class meets at WoodHill Designs, 38 E. Montecito Ave, #6,
Sierra Madre, CA 91024.

No prior woodworking experience is required. As your instructor, I will provide you with one-on-one assistance during each phase of your project, and safety will be a top priority.

The small class size means SIGN UP EARLY to guarantee your spot. A deposit of $100 is required by April 1st and will be applied to your tuition. It will be fully refunded if you are unable to attend the course.

Dear friends, thanks to the improving COVID situation I want to inform you classes may be resuming in early May.
Recent space considerations in the shop will require a limit of 4 students total, and everyone will need to have been vaccinated.
For those of you who previously indicated your interest the class, I still have you on the list and you will receive priority enrollment.
For anyone interested in signing up, just contact me and I will add your name to the list.
The course will last for 9 weeks, concluding by the end of June.

Hi All,
I have been receiving some questions regarding when Guitar Makers will be back in session. I am anxious to resume classes as soon as possible, but in light of our current health crisis, I cannot in good conscience do so until it's safe. Nonetheless, I am compiling a list of interested students and will use it to fill the enrollment as soon as it is feasible .

When classes resume, we will be meeting one night per week (on Mondays or Wednesdays) from 6-9 PM for 9 weeks.
