After a rough few weeks of pneumonia, I’m back!
While orders have been going out the door (shoutout to Belgium! My 18th country I’ve shipped to so far), you might have noticed Amity Island Gift Shop missing from your feed. No memes, no work in progress, no videos of me printing from my basement, none of that.
I’ve been MIA with pneumonia and that was not fun at all. But, I’m better now and excited to be back working on some sweet new projects, a really fun commission I’m looking forward to showing along the journey, and will start posting about the long teased comfy tee shirts.
Shirts announcement should be going live tomorrow once I finish getting the new mockups done. Expect to see some classic designs as options and some new ones you haven’t seen yet! The Tiger Shark guy from Jaws? Yup! Sidney Prescott from Scream? You bet!

This project took a few weeks and was a commission from a great fan in Florida, wanting something involving the Moana vs Teka showdown at the end of the film. Such a beautiful moment when Moana realizes how she can help the gigantic fire throwing monster that's destroying her home. The slow-mo walk, the beautiful singing, the water looking PERFECT, it's pure Disney magic.
Moana is a top tier Disney Princess and I love working on projects inspired by that film.

Te Ka vs Moana is my next BIG piece that I was hired on commission for. Here's a sneak preview!
Had a customer reach out, a fan of my Moana piece "We Know the Way" and asked what the biggest piece I can make right now is. 13x38 it is! Moana is one of my favorite Disney characters and absolutely loved coming up with this concept together with the person who reached out.
Still have a few more hours left on this one, got to finish Moana, get the heart of Te Fiti growing nice and green in her hand is a must, more elements to Te Ka to do, tighten up the ocean waves, the sky itself, and lots and lots of smoke trails!
This one is lots of fun to work on and I've already got the name figured out, but I'll save that for the finished post.

Print Number 3 in the Alt Ending Indiana Jones series I'm calling "Somewhere in X" focusing on one large print from each Indiana Jones film. Just wrapped up on "Somewhere in Germany" inspired by The Last Crusade!
Debatable which is better Last Crusade or Raiders, but this is clearly a top Spielberg film overall. I can't wait to be at on Wednesday to rewatch the film and give this print away.

It's finale day for one of my favorite shows. Sure going to miss Ted Lasso, but the rewatches are always a delight.

My big giant desk mat
Temporarily moving production facilities to the dining room due to what's looking like a long project at home. Had a nice main sewer block turn to damage at here at Amity Island.
Mitigation is done but my work space will be in the dining area for a bit. All products and shipping stuff are totally fine and the hard stuff is over. Now it's just wait to rebuild.
Positive note: the Cantina Charter glasses arrive tomorrow to AIGS and should ship this week

"After Thanos’ snap, the God of Thunder became one of the most relatable characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He spiraled into depression and struggled to find his way out of it. Everyone can fail, even the “Strongest Avenger,” it’s what we do after that loss that shows us we are stronger than we realize. This piece was created by the artist as a reminder that if our heart is in the right place and we are working towards our goal, we are still worthy. 20x40 digital painting, printed on canvas."

Happy Oscars Night! Who's seen 'No Time to Die'? One category that is greatly missing from the Oscars honors is a "Best Stunt" award. Lots of great contenders if this category existed from last year's crop of films, but for me - the best was the epic bike jump in James Bond No Time to Die. The film crew built a huge wooden ramp for the almost vertical jump. Stunt rider Paul Edwards had to get to 60 mph before hitting the ramp to clear the sheer stone wall of the medieval city. Once they got him high enough, the landing posed a different challenge. The village square of Matera, Italy, is made of large cobblestones, worn smooth by years of traffic. The stunt crew’s solution to the Matera problem was simple: the team sprayed the cobblestones with Coca-Cola. When the soda dried, it left the stones just sticky enough that Edwards could stick the landing. After filming, the crew washed the soda off, leaving the stones cleaner than before. All told, this sequence in the movie had the team pouring roughly 8,400 gallons of soda over the medieval town for various stunts. Just got the first metallic print sample and HAD TO SHARE! This Avengers print will hit the shop really soon both as a canvas and thus sweet reflective print . Civil War is definitely my favorite MCU movie for lots of different reasons. I wanted to capture the airport fight and spent months trying to get the hero faces to where I like them (bucky definitely looked like TF2 Heavy for awhile).
