This morning, I said goodbye. It was goodbye on the radio station that started it all, KEEL radio. I was invited by Erin McCarty and Mike Martindale to come back to KEEL and sign off on the station, That I joined in 1964. Erin Gave me one hour to reminisce about the good old days. From the submarine races on Crosslake, hide the booze before daddy gets home, the KEEL national anthem, the battle of the bands, and hundreds of guest DJs. I know I left a bunch out,the daytime shows with Mr. Weather. (I can honestly say he made me and the show 100% better.)) we won a lot of honors, and we made a lot of friends since 1964. I could go on about things we’ve done, things we’ve won, friends we’ve made. If you were a regular listener, The KEEL Dirty dribblers, the nasty, nine softball team, the battle of the bands, the promotions, the concerts, all the things we gave away as prizes, . You may not have known it, but national awards that made KEEL radio a nationally recognized powerhouse. Thank you very much for listening to us for over 60 years. Programming and formats have changed over the years, but Keel radio is still a genuine powerhouse that is nationally recognized as one of the best. Thank you KEEL., And thank you for being a listener all these years
