🦈☀️ Our Summer of Sharks has begun!

Did you know Megalodon was one of the largest predators to ever live? These ancient sharks ruled the oceans millions of years ago, and their fossilized teeth are some of the most incredible clues they left behind.

To celebrate, we’re hiding one huge Megalodon tooth replica in our Family Digs each week throughout the summer. You just might uncover a prehistoric treasure of your own!

🐠🦈 Happy Father's Day to all the Dads and Father Figures! 🦈🐠

Did you know some of the ocean's most amazing dads can be found beneath the waves?

🐴 Most Famous Dad: Male seahorses are famous for carrying and giving birth to their babies.
🐟 Best Babysitter Dad: Male jawfish protect their eggs by keeping them safely tucked inside their mouths until they hatch.
🐠 Best Team Dad: Male clownfish are devoted fathers. After the female lays her eggs, dad stays behind to guard them, clean them, fan them with his fins to keep them oxygenated, and protect them from predators until they hatch.

We hope your day is filled with family, laughter, adventure, and maybe even a few fish tales. 🎣

🦎🐊 Scales & Tails Camp takes over the Aquarium!

Our youngest herpetologists are spending the week exploring the incredible world of reptiles—from Louisiana's alligators and snapping turtles to snakes, lizards, and crocodilians from around the globe.

Next week the same camp begins for older kids entering grades 4th - 8th.

Campers will enjoy:
🐍 Up-close animal encounters
🐢 Hands-on activities and experiments
🦎 Reptile-themed games and challenges
🐊 Discoveries about camouflage, shedding, powerful jaws, and survival adaptations

From swampy bayous to desert habitats, they'll learn how reptiles thrive in some of the world's toughest environments—and why they're so important to healthy ecosystems.

We wrapped up our first week of summer camp with a lot of smiles, and we can't wait to welcome our next group of explorers!
