Artist, Darlene Wesenberg Rzezotarski, is one of eighteen artists whose work will be featured in this year's Art At The Atrium 2 Exhibit on Thursday Nov. 10th.

Artist bio:
I use kiln-fired clay, pieces individually hand-sculpted, with multiple firings for glazes and lusters. I often create works in series. I am a storyteller, combining image and word. As a retired teacher, I devote time in my ceramics studio pursuing this work. (Ask about private or small group studio lessons.)
After a reunion with Polish cousins, I completed sculptures detailing elements of Slavic history and folklore. Since so many of the folktales are unfamiliar in America, I wrote English versions of the stories, as well. This resulted in the publication of Trick a Witch, Wed a Hedgehog, Save your Soul: An American Artist Encounters Poland.
My recent Milwaukee Series celebrates site-specific historic events, creating a narrative frame for participation with viewers. Memorable Milwaukee: Legendary Tales Depicted in Clay, combines text with sculptures. The publication had a ZOOM launch through Boswell Book Company in early November, 2020.
All true art is collaboration—with the landscape, with the storied past—with the maker and the viewer of the art. I am pleased to present a few works for you.

Artist, John O'Hara, is one of eighteen artists whose work will be featured in this year's Art At The Atrium 2 Exhibit on Thursday Nov. 10th.

Artist bio: John has a Fine Art background of painting, graphics & photography, and is interested in creating images that are referential to the story-telling potential of an image, and that elicit an emotional response by the viewer.

Art is Communication.

With over 30 years in personal photography work, and 10 years experience as a full-time newspaper photojournalist, including years of black & white film work, I have honed my skills creating images under the gamut of conditions.
The immediacy of the digital photographic medium, is both seductive, and challenging: a commitment is made and that captured moment, over. My entire artistic background influences how I see each moment.
I embrace the rapidly changing technologies and the resulting expansion of artistic tools accompanying the digital age. Even as the 17th century Dutch master painter, Vermeer, incorporated lessons of the camera obscura to create his realistic views, so I have continued to incorporate whatever tools are available to achieve my artistic concepts.

Artist, Lynn Moritz, is one of eighteen artists whose work will be featured in this year's Art At The Atrium 2 Exhibit on Thursday Nov. 10th.

Artist bio: A Milwaukee native, I discovered my love of art very early on, and took my first painting class at the age of eleven. The second I picked up that paintbrush, I was hooked. After extensive art study at both UW-Milwaukee and MIAD, I added photography and sculpting to my repertoire, and in recent years, mosaics.

The goal with my work, is to influence mood through the use of color and/or subject matter. I'm all about setting an atmosphere, and the things that inspire me most, run the gamut from the grittiness of the city streets and burned out letters of old neon signs, to the warm and inviting glow of a dimply lit neighborhood bar, or a park at sunset. Seeing a certain color that reminds me of a candy wrapper or toy from days gone by, is often all it takes to stir up childhood memories, and leave me with a feeling of warmth and solace. It's my hope that the energy and intent I put into each piece of my art, transfers to all who view it, and triggers a memory or mood for them, as well.

Artist, Jennifer Cooney Vulpas, is one of eighteen artists whose work will be featured in this year's Art At The Atrium 2 Exhibit on Thursday Nov. 10th.

Artist bio: It’s a family thing. I’ve grown up with artists all around me. In my childhood home, our walls were covered with paintings by my cousins, my uncles, great uncles, great great uncles, aunts, grandmother, and others. This taught me that there was no other way to live unless there was art as part of it.
I have worked as an art director, a graphic designer and now an (advanced beginner) oil painter. Over time, I decided to follow in my Grandmother's footsteps, and loaded my brushes with oil paints instead of acrylic paints.
I put stories in my pictures. My graphic design background taught me much about shape, balance, and communication. I try to always add joy to my pictures. I have been finding that people want paintings of specific things for their home. Nature being a big part of bringing life inside their space.
I will be at the SAG booth and sharing a space with other artists. Stop by! I hope that you enjoy looking at my pictures as much as I liked creating them.
