This should be the final step to getting me back to normal! Is such a thing even possible?!?!? This hardware was taken out of my heel bone June 4th, exactly 7 months after the first set was put in. I haven’t been making any progress for a few months and learned they were inhibiting my path forward. Another 2 weeks in a boot and (fingers crossed) I will be improving greatly. Apparently my character needs more building as well as my patience level. I could strongly argue that point but then I would be proving it correct. A conundrum wrapped up in an enigma! I’m so looking forward to walking/standing pain free!!

“A Little Buzzed” 6x6 mixed media on cradle board is perfect for the arrival of the blue sky days we are enjoying here where I live. This pollen-drenched bee I captured with my camera and enlarged it to super size in this 3 layered piece of artwork. Acrylic base with acrylic pour with oil on top. So fun to create and quite interesting to look at in real time.

Loved painting yesterday with my “Little Sis” ! We had a long paint sesh with a lunch break and afterwards played a few rounds of Rummikub with the hubs making it a th*****me. Brooke and I used to take long walks that began during Covid and since that is not a current ability for me it was so nice to spend this time with her. Love you little sis! 💋💙💚💜

Came across this time lapse of a piece from years back. I need to do more of these. Even I find them interesting to look back upon. We can never stop learning in this gig!

Spent a wonderful day today with my niece and her kiddo for their school field trip. The most amazing moment for me was photographing one of the grown snow leopard cubs up high in a tree top. Never seen that before! Had some great animal encounters and being around the kids was fun and energizing. Bet they had a sleepy time driving back to Cle Elum on the school bus. Or maybe not…they sure had energy to spare! I wish I could see them more often but happy to see them today.
