This was a painting James did that really showed his humorous side. The shy expression of the grandmother holding her hand over her face and the various expressions on the children's faces he crafted with skill and playfulness. James had a great outlook on life, "Laugh at yourself. Be serious but keep a joke in the back of your mind". You can see his humor in many of the images he has painted.

Santa Fe Indian Market 2019, James is with sons Raven and James Ari. This was the last year James showed his work and shared a booth with family. All the hours spent in the studio, painting night and day went into this yearly event, the energy and time well spent, creating his award winning masterpieces. It was a time to greet old friends and family. He would greet his beloved daughters and grandchildren with joy, and laugh with them. His amazing paintings would stop people in their tracks. They would stand amazed and even moved to tears, especially the elders. His paintings brought back memories of long ago.
This past weekend, Indian Market 2025, many people came to our family booth to remember him. Old friends, and family shared stories and shared their wisdom. Several people introduced themselves and said how they knew of James and his work. He is greatly missed by his sons, daughters, his friends and his followers.🦅🌈
Keep painting in the sky and flying high James.

James loved the Mountains. In Winter, he would jump at every chance he got to be out on the slopes ...alone or with family and friends. In the summer, he loved to go hiking. Im sure he is still hiking and snowboarding ..mountain man forever
