STONE HARBOR RECAP 🌊🎨☀️

Apparently having a much better-than-expected Ocean City show — with a few more wonderful surprises afterward — is a fantastic problem to have… until you realize: WAIT… WHAT AM I GOING TO PUT IN MY TENT FOR STONE HARBOR?! 😂

With family vacation already planned and Stone Harbor right around the corner, I had about FOUR DAYS to get creative.

Enter: two big blank canvases, some slightly unhinged 12–14 hour studio days, and the reference photos I took during my time in Stone Harbor earlier this summer.

I went back to those quiet beach mornings — the light, the water, my serenity now moments — and created two brand-new large originals that I absolutely LOVE.

Then it was LBI ➡️ Boston ➡️ home for approximately five minutes ➡️ STONE HARBOR. 😂

And what a weekend! After a soggy Friday setup, Saturday and Sunday were GORGEOUS. I met so many wonderful people, made great new connections and talked future commissions. Was it my biggest sales show? Nope. But that’s art shows — you never know what happens after the tent comes down! 🤞

A HUGE thank you to Suzanne Hunter for putting together such an incredible event. I have NEVER experienced this level of organization and volunteer help at a show. From her hilarious emails to finally meeting her in person, Suzanne was AWESOME. As a fellow artist, her dedication to creating something special for Stone Harbor truly showed.

And to every volunteer who helped us all weekend — THANK YOU! ❤️ You guys were amazing.

Thank you, Stone Harbor. 💙🌊

Now my paintbrush and I are taking a brief, mutually agreed-upon separation… although knowing me, “brief” could mean about 48 hours. 😂🎨

Next stop: Summit Art & Cars — September 20th! And who knows what might happen between now and then… 😉

STONE HARBOR — I’m back for Day 2! ☀️🎨
And I’d really prefer if some of these paintings went home with YOU instead of back in my car. 😂

I’m here at the Stone Harbor Fine Craft Fair until 4 PM today, with originals, prints, and two brand-new pieces making their debut!

So if your walls are looking a little too… empty and responsible 😂… come fix that.

Well… YESTERDAY was a WILD one at the Ocean City Boardwalk Art Show. 😅🌊🎨

Outdoor art shows are always a bit of a gamble when you’re bringing valuable original artwork along for the ride. At this point, I’ve basically added part-time meteorologist to my résumé. 😂

Friday’s challenge was 94% humidity — definitely NOT an artist’s best friend — but we had a game plan, kept everything protected until the humidity burned off, and ended up having a fantastic first day with great crowds and a sale to one of my collectors. ❤️

Then came Saturday…

The day started PERFECT. Blue skies, sunshine, great crowds — until around 3:00 when my artist neighbor casually asked, “Did you see the storm warning?”

Ummm… WHAT storm warning?! 😳

Cue PANIC MODE.

Within about 15 minutes, we went from gorgeous sunshine to severe storm warnings and possible 60 mph wind gusts. Jonathan was back at the hotel taking a very well-deserved break, so I called him with basically: GET BACK HERE. NOW. 😂

He raced back, we got my newest and most valuable paintings safely into the car, pulled EVERYTHING inside, helped my neighboring artist get her work into my tent, battened down the hatches and got ourselves out just before it hit.

Wind whipping. Rain POURING. Things flying down the boardwalk. Absolute chaos. 🌪️😳

And somehow… NO DAMAGE. 🙌 Not one painting hurt. Thank God.

We did lose about three hours of valuable show time, but considering what could have happened, I’ll happily take that!

SO — I’m here EARLY this morning, all set up and ready to make up for some lost time! ☀️🎨 Mother Nature and I have had enough quality time together this weekend. 😂

If you’ve been wanting to see Sunlit Symphony, my new sunflower piece, Where Day Begins, the large oceanscape, the yacht club piece, or any of my other work — come see me TODAY!

📍 Booth 11 — Ocean City Boardwalk
Between Plymouth Place & 7th Street
🕙 Official show hours today: 10–4
🎨 But I’m already here and ready for you!

Come say hi, see the artwork, and hopefully enjoy a MUCH less dramatic day on the boardwalk. 😂🙏☀️

🌻 Sunlit Symphony 🌻

30” × 48” | Acrylic on Canvas

Sunflowers have always had a special place in my heart. 💛 Every sunflower painting I’ve created over the years has found its forever home, so it felt like the perfect time to return to them while building a collection of new originals for this season’s shows.

While I’m best known for my coastal scenes and Jersey Shore landmarks, every now and then I find myself coming back to sunflowers. There’s just something about their warmth, optimism, and timeless beauty that keeps inspiring me. This new 30” × 48” piece is a fresh take on one of my favorite subjects—larger than my previous sunflower paintings, with richer color, more movement, and a composition that celebrates every stage of the bloom.

I’m so excited to debut Sunlit Symphony next weekend at the Ocean City Boardwalk Art Show!

📍 Booth #11 (off 7th Street)

✨ NEW ORIGINAL | Where Day Begins ✨

There’s something magical about those first quiet moments on the beach—before the crowds arrive, when the sun begins to warm the dunes, the dune grass sways in the breeze, and the promise of a brand-new day stretches out before you.

I’m so excited to share my newest original painting, Where Day Begins, an original 40” × 60” acrylic on canvas, which I just finished today! This piece will make its debut at the Ocean City Boardwalk Art Show, and I can’t wait for you to see it in person.
