Tonight we're shining a spotlight on NNPN city San Diego. Our featured Members, Diversionary Theatre and TuYo Theatre, are both led by alumni of the National Directing Fellows program -- a collaboration among NNPN, the Kennedy Center, The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and the Society of Stage Directors & Choreographors. It's a reminder of the many ways our work impacts the American theater and its future: helping develop not just new plays, but the next generation of new-play artists, visionaries, and leaders.

We'll keep spotlighting Member Theaters from NNPN cities and celebrating the theaters, audiences, & stories that make the Network work.

And until then, all gifts will be matched up to $20K, thanks to the generosity of NNPN founder David Goldman and Carol Dweck. You can help the future of new plays nationally and in your hometown at nnpn.org/donate

If you’re in MSP:

There is a LOT to process right now. Let us help you!

Story Circle Training

Everyone in the Twin Cities experienced a lot in the last few months. Each of us has a story to tell.

Mixed Blood Theatre’s “Share Your Story” Initiative helps communities host conversations among members to share their experiences. The Story Circles method of community story sharing has roots in grassroots theatre and Civil Rights organizing.

Join us at Mixed Blood for our Story Circle “Train the Trainer” event. This will be in-person event to provide conveners with the tools they will need— both physically through a resource guide and experientially— to facilitate story circles on their own. Participants will be asked to sign up to host a story circle in their neighborhood or organization at their convenience.

Please note that June 10th 12-1:30pm and June 17th 2-3:30pm are both VIRTUAL trainings.

One of our original (and continuing) Core Member Theaters, doing the work.

In defiance of early 2026's harrowing ICE/CBP occupation, Mixed Blood Theatre commissioned theatre artists to process and document the moment.
