2026 10.17 Former Student Sighting! Paige Hartupee! A delight to have in class! Paige was such a sweet little girl, who while quiet and shy, never backed away from trying all of the active performance activities we did in class. She was a solid performer who could always be counted on to hold her own and lead others in keeping the choir steady. I really enjoyed talking with you at Papa's Pumpkin Patch, Paige! I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing more about your future! Shepherd 2013-2018.

2026 9.20 Former Student Sighting! Brayden Nestle!! I have a special love for my former students who learned Clowning during the sporadic years I taught it. Brayden was a natural! He had the ability to balance the pure joy that he brought to activities in my class over the years, with being a serious student who tried everything with focus and determination. 2000 Dec. St Vincent de Paul Pre-School Christmas Program. Landon is "front & center" in most of these photos, however, all of the other students ended up being my Shepherd students for the next 6 years from K-5.

Former Student Sighting! Carey Hammel! I'm thrilled to feature Carey for 2 reasons. First, he was a sweet & fun student who I taught Gym, Music, & Art to every day for 3 years. He was an active and focused little guy who was bright, creative, and very athletic. Second, he continued his years with Shepherd schools to lead our students to excel in Cross-Country & Track...now in 2026 receiving the Sweeney Award and being inducted into the MITCA Hall of Fame! Over the years, I would see Carey running right along with the students in all kinds of weather thru the Shepherd streets. It would make me smile every time I would see him. Great to meet up with you today, Carey! 💜. Winn 1989-1993

It is with a heavy yet loving heart that I feature this Former Student. Hunter Torpey passed away July 10, 2026 in a tragic work-related accident at a wind turbine construction site. I taught Hunter for 6 purely joyful years. He may have been small in stature when I taught him, but he was huge in talent, personality, and happiness. There was nothing that he wouldn't participate whole-heartedly in when it came to performing and classroom activities. 3 of our years he earned lead roles with acting & singing parts. The largest being a lead character, "King of the High C's" in 4th grade. He was stellar in that role, and will forever be remembered by me and anyone who saw him perform. I truly wish this was a "Former Student Sighting" by me...but I genuinely want to share this beautiful little boy in the many ways I saw him over our years together. Winn 2004-2010. Post #1 of 2

Former Student Sighting! Paige Bonnell! Paige was an absolute delight in my class. Very loving with her friends, Paige participated whole-heartedly with costumes, makeup, and choreography, making her a terrific member of our choirs each year! For the past couple of years, Paige has become the highlight of my yearly checkup as she is a Medical Assistant for my doctor! Always great to see you, Paige!!💜

Former Student Sighting! Trevor Crawford! The other half of the duo I spotted at Shepherd Bar & Grill! Trevor had a smile & happy personality that made him a treasured student to have, as well as an upbeat leader among his friends in my classroom. He had the ability to show vibrance and fun on stage while retaining a steady confidence and strength that spread across his fellow performers. Great to see you, Trevor!
