Center Stage Theatre is an inclusive and intergenerational community-based theatre providing high quality and affordable performances, educational programming and volunteer opportunities. Located in Shelton, Connecticut, the theatre produces five full scale productions a year including its annual Youth CONNection summer musical, as well as year-round theatre education for student’s grades K-12. Tomorrow’s the day! We are so excited for our first time participating in the annual CT Open House Day event!

Partnering with Celebrate Shelton and its Kids Hour Roadshow, a family-friendly morning of arts, imagination, and hands-on experiences for young children, free activities at our 54 Grove Street location will include:

10-11am – Theatre-based workshops including dance, fish prop making and mask making (for ages pre-K through grade 2; must be accompanied by a caregiver)
11:15-11:30am – A performance by the Center Stage Theatre Community Kids
11:30-12:15pm – Songs and stories from the Sea with Ariel, a magical musical storytelling experience inspired by the sea will invite children and families into an imaginative underwater adventure.

Families are welcome to participate in one, two, or all three featured experiences!

We are so excited for this Saturday’s Connecticut Open House Day, which we are celebrating with our friends from Celebrate Shelton!

Join us for theater-based workshops as well as a performance by the Center Stage Community Kids and a guest performance on Saturday, June 13th. Drop-in workshops will take place from 10:00-11:00am with entertainment beginning at 11:15am.

All events will take place at Center Stage Theatre at 54 Grove Street in Shelton.

Please register (FREE, just fill out the form!) by Wednesday, 6/10. Walk-ins welcome!

It’s almost June and been feeling like summer…..don’t forget to make your summer camp plans!

Summer programming at Center Stage Theatre invites young performers entering kindergarten through grade 8 one and two weeks sessions taking place Monday-Friday from 9am-12 noon with a free showcase for family and friends on the final day. Each session features a different theme!

Use code summer26 to save $20 on each camp when selecting more than one session. You must enter the code for each camp purchased. If registering multiple students, please add both names and details for each child in the check out questions.

Spots in our annual summer camp programming for young actors entering kindergarten through grade 8 are going FAST!
