Who We Are
PAA-PENINSULA ART ASSOCIATION·WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2019·
We are a non profit organization, and our members are people who have mutual interests in expressing ourselves through the visual arts. The Peninsula Art Association was organized in 1990 to bring Olympic Peninsula area artists together to exchange ideas and information. Our artists have a wide variety of interests and skills, fr

om traditional works to unique and fanciful creations, there is something to appeal to everyone. Painting and drawing in all media, ceramics, bronze and wood sculpture and turning, stained glass, screen printing, graphic design, and a variety of photography styles are all used to express our members visions. Their skill encompass the whole spectrum from beginner to renowned professionals. We are also fortunate to include art supporters who want to encourage artistic achievement and help make visual art an integral part of our everyday lives. Membership includes a monthly newsletter to keep members up to date on upcoming meetings, programs, art shows and events, new members and other items of interest. Members may post announcements, links to their pages or websites, or share art sites and information that may enrich the experience of our members. We meet at the Shelton Civic Center, 525 Cota Street, Shelton, WA, on the second Thursday of each month, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Our meetings start with a brief business meeting followed by an art related presentation, speaker or project, and while you don’t need to be a member to attend our meetings, we encourage you to support our efforts. Annually, the PAA, in conjunction with the Shelton Arts Commission, sponsors a Spring Fine Art Show. Members and regional artists are welcome to enter their original art for this show, and membership in PAA is not required to enter their work. We also participate in the Rotary Oysterfest Celebration each October by maintaining a pie and ice cream booth to fund our educational efforts.
