Big news! I’ve officially started school to become an Electrologist!

Electrolysis is a method of permanent hair removal that treats each hair follicle individually. A very fine filament is inserted into the follicle, and a small amount of energy is used to stop future hair growth.

Unlike laser, electrolysis can be used on all skin tones and hair colors, including blonde, red, gray, and white hair. It can be especially helpful for facial hair, hormonal hair growth, stubborn hairs that laser didn’t fully remove, and gender-affirming hair removal.

This has been a goal of mine for a long time, and I’m so excited to bring this specialized service to Isla Esthetics.

It's supposed to be 80 degrees today! ☀️ I know that many of you are going to be trying to get outside for any reason you can (me too!), but remember that aside from a few breaks in the PNW gloom your skin has been in winter hibernation since at least October and YOU NEED SPF. My absolute fav sunscreen is the Circadia Circa-Shield mineral SPF30. It has a silky finish with no stickiness, greasiness or funky sunscreen scent. I'll be protected in this when I go out to work in my garden today! 😎
