Shellsburg Big Day's Pie Contest returns July 18, and a panel of local judges—including longtime pie judge Lonnie Speckner—will be tasked with the delicious job of picking this year's winners.

Bring your best pie, your secret recipe, and maybe a little confidence. The judges will handle the rest.

The Wait Is Over — The 2026 Shellsburg Big Day Schedule Is Here! 🎉🇺🇸

Today, we're excited to share what you've been waiting for—the official 2026 Shellsburg Big Day Event Schedule!

From breakfast and the parade to the petting zoo, tractor pull, pie contest, youth tug-of-war, live music from Boot Jack Band, and a spectacular fireworks show, there's something for everyone to enjoy all day long.

This celebration wouldn't be possible without our amazing volunteers, sponsors, local organizations, and community members who help make Shellsburg Big Day one of the best traditions of the summer.

Shellsburg Big Day is bringing the excitement back to the track, and we want YOU to be part of it!
The Prairie Tractor Pullers will be in Shellsburg on July 18th, and we're looking for competitors ready to test their tractors against the sled.
