We got the variance approved! Thank you to those on the planning and zoning committee for approving it, and for everyone's support!

Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I posted an update, so here it is!
Last year we were able to put the 15 ft Edition on the back of the theater! But most importantly we were finally able to fix the roof. After years of leaking, the theater was finally dry last winter!
Now we are in the process of trying to build a building next door to the theater, where we will move the majority of our haunted theater, but we have run into a slight Road bump. There is an ordinance in place stating that we would need a 30 car parking lot, which our lot is not big enough for. We have filed for a variance and will meet tomorrow (November 19th) at the Planning and Zoning meeting in the Shelley City Hall, at 6:30pm. If anyone would like to come and show their support tomorrow, we would love to see you and greatly appreciate you!
Thanks for everything!

P.S more updates to come!

Rebecca (Becca) Muffler, a former scarer, and performer in our plays has been in a contest for a month of where in her group she had to be top 15, top 10, top 5, then 1st.

She got 1st so she made it into quarter finals. She is in the top 1% of Super Moms in the competition! There are a few more weeks where she has to end in 1st in her group to move on. If she wins, she would appear in Woman's World magazine, and take home $20,000!

Today is the last day to vote for this round. Please take a minute to help this wonderful mamma out!You can vote once daily at the link below.

Update!
Hello everyone! We were not able to get the addition on the back of the Theater this year due to a pole that the power company has still not moved. We are very concerned about the leaking from the roof though, so Andrew will be up there this week trying to fix the roof before it snows again. I know alot of you have mentioned that you wanted to know if we ever needed help. If any of you would like to help please let me know and I will get you details!
Thank you all!

Hello everyone!
Thank you to all who have showed your support so far! The planning and zoning committee decided on letting us build a 15' addition, instead of the 20'. They have concerns about emergency vehicles being able to make the turn by the senior citizens center. We will do our best to see if we can still make the addition work.
Thank you all!

Hello everyone!
Tonight is the night we meet again at the city hall, for their decision. The meeting is at 7:30 for any of you who can make it! The more people that are there, the more they will see how badly the community wants the Theater to be opened again. If you can't come but would still like to help, then please share this post.
Thank you for your support!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the delayed update! At the planning and zoning meeting, they motioned to push our variance request to next month's meeting. They have some concerns about the garbage truck not being able to make the turn because of a power pole. We will return next month on April 18th at 7:30. If anyone would like to come to the meeting to show your support, we would really appreciate it! We are very hopeful that this will go through!
Thank you to all of the people who have shown your support so far!

Hey everyone!
After 5 years, there is finally an update with the theater! We want to put a twenty foot addition on the back of the theater! We have been saving up so we could do this. This addition will allow us to take care of the safety issues with the lack of space, have a bigger stage, put changing rooms backstage, etc. The issue we have at the moment is that in order to do this addition, we will need to have a variance approved by the city. The planning and zoning meeting is tonight at 7:30 at the city hall building in Shelley. Please join us tonight to show your support for the Virginia Theater!
Thank you all! 🤞
