The Lightning Thief begins dress rehearsals on Monday, but a few of the cast members have been wearing their shirts to help them get into character! ⚡ MEET THE CAST: AIDEN BADON ⚡

We’re excited to introduce Aiden Badon, who will be taking the stage as Grover in Shelby County Community Theatre’s upcoming production of The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical! 🏛️

Aiden is a sophomore at SCHS and has been involved in multiple musicals both at his high school and here at Shelby County Community Theatre. He is excited to bring this incredible show to the stage for his community! Aiden would also like to thank his friends and family for supporting him.

We asked Aiden three questions and here’s what he had to say:

⚔️ Which character would you trust most to have your back on a quest?
“I trust Percy to have my back on a quest. He has no ill intent and is literally the son of Poseidon.” 🌊

🌿 What is your character’s fatal flaw—the big weakness that gets them into trouble?
“Unfortunately, Grover isn’t what I would call a fierce warrior. Even though he is loyal, he is definitely unable to do anything but panic during an attack.”

🎭 Why should people come see this show?
“People should come see the show because everyone in and around it is just awesome, and it’s super entertaining the entire time.”

⚡ MEET THE CAST: JENNA ELAM ⚡

We’re excited to introduce Jenna Elam, who will be taking the stage as Bianca and Ensemble in Shelby County Community Theatre’s upcoming production of The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical! 🏛

Jenna is excited to be a part of The Lightning Thief at SCCT! This marks her third production with Shelby County Community Theatre, and she was recently part of Grease at MLCHS. 🎭

When she isn’t involved in a production, Jenna enjoys reading and studying psychology. She would also like to thank her family for coming to every show and supporting her dreams.

We asked Jenna three questions—here’s what she had to say:
⚔️ Which character would you trust most to have your back on a quest?
“Annabeth — she’s incredibly smart and loyal. I would trust her with my life.”

🌸 What is your character’s fatal flaw—the big weakness that gets them into trouble?
“Bianca’s fatal flaw is probably her naivety, which got her stuck in the Lotus Hotel.”

🎭 Why should people come see this show?
“Because this show is amazing, thanks to our wonderful cast. I genuinely couldn’t ask for a better group of people to do this with.”

MEET THE CAST: COVIN McCORMICK

We’re thrilled to introduce Covin McCormick, who will be taking the stage as Thalia and Ensemble in Shelby County Community Theatre’s upcoming production of The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical

Covin eagerly returns to the stage following her latest SCCT appearance as Wendy Darling in Peter Pan. When she isn’t acting, you can find her singing and dancing her way through life! Covin is the oldest of four and an absolute joy in the lives of her family and friends.

We asked Covin three questions, here’s what she had to say:

⚔️ Which character would you trust most to have your back on a quest?
Percy - He’d do anything for his friends, and even when he feels like giving up, he pushes through.”

⚡ What is your character’s fatal flaw - the big weakness that gets them into trouble?
Thalia’s fatal flaw is bravery and her loyalty to the people she cares about.”

🎭 **Why should people come see this show?
“Who wouldn’t want to come see an exciting yet moving show about singing and dancing gods?!?!”

We call them the Triple A's! Or the Big Three!

Aiden. Alex. and Addison are portraying Grover, Percy Jackson, and Annabeth in our upcoming production, The Lightning Thief which opens on September 10th!

They will have a big day that day! We just found out that they will appear on WDRB News as part of the Give for Good Louisville celebration on September 10th around 7 am! They have agreed to get up early on opening day to talk about their experience at SCCT and sing a song to promo their opening night! Watch for them on the 10th and prepare to Give For Good to SCCT!

🍇 MEET THE CAST: BRANDON FOUCH ⚡

We’re excited to introduce Brandon Fouch, who will take on not one, not two, but THREE mythological roles in Shelby County Community Theatre’s upcoming production of The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical - Mr. Dionysus, Hades, and Kronos!

Brandon is excited to return to the stage with such an incredible group of talented young actors. This is his third time gracing the main stage at SCCT, having previously appeared in Bright Star and She Loves Me.

Working as a Quality Supervisor in the beverage industry while also exploring his passions for performance and singing has made Brandon especially well-prepared to take on the role of Dionysus, the god of wine and theatre!

We asked Brandon three questions—here’s what he had to say:

⚔️ Which character would you trust most to have your back on a quest?
“I’ll definitely choose Chiron for a quest. He has a ton of knowledge about anything mythological, and if I get tired of walking, he might let me ride on his back.”

🍇 What is your character’s fatal flaw—the big weakness that gets them into trouble?
“Mr. D’s fatal flaw is his lack of self-control. As the god of wine and the god of drama, he often found himself being a bit too extra, which is why he finds himself stuck where he is now.”

🎟️ Why should people come see this show?
“Everyone should come see this show because it showcases the immense talent of so many young actors, and it is full of familiar characters with exciting new interpretations.”

⚡ Meet Isaiah Belcher — Camper & Kurt Cobain! 🎸🏕️

We’re excited to have Isaiah Belcher back at Shelby County Community Theatre for The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical! Isaiah has enjoyed performing in several productions and is thrilled to continue growing as an actor through new roles and new adventures.

His recent credits include Oliver Rivers in Puffs at SCCT, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors and Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid at SCHS, and Pabbie in Frozen at The Theater Downstream. 🎭

Isaiah is grateful for every opportunity to perform, take on new challenges, and continue growing through theatre. He would also like to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged him along the way! ❤️

We asked Isaiah three questions about quests, fatal flaws, and why audiences should see the show:

“I would choose Grover. He doubts himself a lot, but I feel like if he put his all into it, he can do anything that gets in his way.”

Kurt Cobain: “ROCK STAR!!!!”
Camper: “Full of energy and excited to do anything.”

🎭 Why should people come see this show?
“Because what reason would you not come!!!!”
