🎭 Summer Theatre Camps are in full swing at Shelby County Community Theatre!

This week, 25 talented students ages 7–14 have taken on the challenge of learning and performing an entire play in just one week!

Our morning session is preparing The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, while our afternoon session is bringing the hilarious Game of Tiaras to life.

Under the direction of Emily Kees, with assistance from Brooke, Leigha, and Zamari, these young performers have spent the week building characters, learning lines, and working together to create two fantastic productions.

Join us tomorrow, Friday, June 19, for their performances upstairs at 801 Main Street:

✨ Game of Tiaras - 5:00 p.m.
✨ The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon - 6:00 p.m.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm these students have shown all week. Come support the next generation of theatre artists and celebrate all they have accomplished in just five days!

The cast and creative team of The Addams Family are hard at work bringing this delightfully spooky musical to life at the Shelby County Community Theatre. From hilarious family antics to unforgettable musical moments, this show is shaping up to be a frightfully good time.

When Gomez (played by Nyck Antonyo) looks at Morticia (Emily Schroering), the rest of the world disappears, and occasionally she ends up upside down.

Our favorite creepy couple is bringing romance, passion, and just the right amount of darkness to The Addams Family. This tango is smoking hot... by Addams Family standards, of course.

Don't miss the chemistry, the comedy, and the chaos when the curtain rises!

Nakkia and Dyshianna Bowen, a mother daughter team, have created a theatre piece telling the stories of strong women! 🎭 Please join us in welcoming our Summer Intern, Leigha Wise, to SCCT!

Leigha Wise is a familiar face here at SCCT. She is part of a third generation of the Wise family that have poured their love for theatre out on our stage, starting with her grandmother Vicky. Starting from a young age, Leigha has found multiple ways to be involved- whether that be on stage as an actress, or working as a stagehand, or helping with sound. This love for SCCT and theatre in general, led her to think of SCCT first when prompted at college to find a place to intern. Leigha is very excited to learn the ins and outs of all things SCCT!
