We're proud to be one of the few large festivals where your pup is part of the fun — all day long! Our RollOver Pets Pet Festival features paw painting, trick dog performances, a dog parade, costume contest, plus K9 demos and a chance to meet local pet vendors and rescue organizations.

🎉 The 2026 NC Liver Mush Festival is back in Shelby, NC on Saturday, October 17th, and we'd love to see you there! We're conveniently located between Charlotte, Greenville, and Asheville, so no matter where you're coming from, it's an easy trip.

Make a weekend of it! Uptown Shelby and Cleveland County have plenty to explore, from local shops to live music and all the fall festivities you'd expect. 🍂

We know the name liver mush might not sound the most appetizing, but trust us—it’s delicious, packed with protein, and an important part of our local heritage!

👇 So, what is liver mush?
Liver Mush is comprised of pig liver (at least 30%), cornmeal, seasonings, and other parts of the pig (typically from the head). Everything is fully cooked, formed into blocks, and chilled!

📍 Where does it come from?
Shelby, NC is proud to be home to TWO major liver mush producers:
👉 Mack’s Livermush & Meats
👉 Jenkins Foods

🍽️ How do you eat liver mush?
Liver mush can be served fried with eggs and grits, on a biscuit with jelly, in a sandwich with mustard, crumbled into scrambled eggs, or even pan-fried as a crispy side!
