Our summer schedule is out, and registration is officially OPEN starting today!🤩👏🏻

We are so excited to offer a fun-filled lineup of summer activities for all ages, and spots will fill up quickly—so be sure to register as soon as possible to secure your dancer’s place.

One of our featured camps this summer is our Bluey Camp for ages 3–5! This is a perfect introduction to dance and creativity for our tiniest dancers, filled with crafts, games, snacks, and fun movement activities designed just for them. We will also be sending out information for a Princess Camp later this week as well—so if Bluey Camp doesn’t work for your schedule, there will be another magical option available!

ID COMPETITION (2nd round of pictures)👏🏻🤗

We had the best time at ID Competition this weekend! 💃✨ It was our first time attending, and we were so impressed—everything was incredibly organized, there were so many awards, and the staff backstage was beyond kind and helpful.

There was so much talent on that stage, and we are so proud of how well our girls performed. They truly shined—and they LOVED getting the buzzard!!! 🤩👏🏻

Thank you for such a great experience—can’t wait to see you next season, ID! 💙

✨ Senior Spotlight: Ally Thackerson ✨

Meet our one and only Senior Miss, Ally Thackerson!

Hi! I’m Ally, and I’m currently a senior at Crest High School. This fall, I’ll be attending NC State University, where I plan to major in Elementary Education!

During high school, I’ve been involved in so many activities. I served as a captain on the Varsity Football Cheer Squad and was a member of Student Government, Beta Club, and the National Honor Society. I’ve also worked a part-time job for the past two years and had the honor of being crowned Miss Cleveland County Fair 2025!

I’ve been dancing since I was 4 years old, and this year I performed two solos and competed on multiple team routines. My dance family has meant so much to me over the years—I truly can’t imagine life without it!

This May, I will also graduate from Cleveland Community College with my Associate in Arts degree through dual enrollment. I’m incredibly grateful to be a 2026 recipient of both the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship and the Golden LEAF Scholarship!

I want to say thank you to my family, friends, mentors, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I can’t wait to see what the future holds! ❤️

This past weekend our dancers participated in the 2026 Dancers Against Cancer Showcase and they did INCREDIBLE! 🤗✨ I am beyond proud of each and every one of them!

This showcase is such a special event and an even more special cause. All proceeds go directly to Levine Cancer - Lincolnton patients, helping families with things like gas, bills, groceries, and other daily needs.

What makes this showcase even more meaningful is that it doesn’t just allow our dancers to perform for a powerful cause — they also bring in judges who provide feedback on each dance before the dancers hit the competition stage. It’s such an amazing opportunity for growth and encouragement!

This fundraiser means a lot to me personally. I know there are families out there right now going through this… and my own family did too with my Aunt Millie, who is missed every single day. 💙🫶🏼

To be able to give my dancers the chance to use their talents to help support their community makes my heart so full.

Thank you so much for always including Modern Motion Academy in this special event. We are honored to be a part of it every year!
