Trevor Sullivan Art

Trevor Sullivan Art Bringing new views to old windows. His paintings are on old window sashes that Trevor has either salvaged or up-cycled.

One thing that has remained constant for Trevor since hiking the long trial end-to-end and moving to Vermont in 2009 is that his art is deeply sourced from the Green Mountain state. The majority of Trevor’s paintings are derived from photos he took – all of which so clearly display the immense beauty of the people and places in Vermont. He consciously makes an effort to be as sustainable with his

art materials as possible. Trevor enjoys working on glass because he says the whole process is very unique and unlike painting on canvas “I like windows, old ones in particular, because there is tons of character to begin with. There is paint chipping on some, fixtures and hinges on others. Who knows what those windows have seen…Plus there is a frame already built in!” The negative space Trevor leaves on some of his pieces allow for the painting to unify with the wall on which it hangs – the colors seem to blend and they create something very organic with the space. Another advantage to painting on glass Trevor says is that "painting on both sides [of a window] creates an undeniably unique foreground and background effect"

Trevor finds enjoyment in his artistic expression, and happiness in sharing his work with others. Trevor is a self-taught artist and has had no formal training. Custom and projects are highly encouraged!
