The goals and objectives of the Sheffield Parks and Recreation Department are to provide the citizens of Sheffield with an opportunity to enjoy quality leisure time experiences. Our desires are to provide programs, parks and activities for all ages of the community. We offer many facilities to the public including:

Michael Center
Riverfront Parks
Avalon Park
Splash pad
Indoor and Outdoo

INDOOR POOL CLOSED FOR THE REST OF THE DAY(THURSDAY 6-11-26) DUE TO UNFORSEEN MAINTENANCE. THE POOL WILL REOPEN FOR MORNING LAPSWIM, LESSONS AND PUBLIC SWIM TOMORROW. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

FREE PLAY AT THE RECREATION CENTER:
MONDAY-FRIDAY: 1:00-4:00PM (SOMETIMES TILL 5:00)
YOU MUST BE A SHEFFIELD RESIDENT TO HAVE FREEPLAY. YOU WILL LIKELY BE ASK TO SHOW AN ID. CALL TO VERIFY FREEPLAY BEFORE YOU COME. THERE MAY BE DAYS THAT WE HAVE NO FREEPLAY.

PROGRAMS AND MEALS AT THE MICHAEL CENTER:

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM AT THE MICHAEL CENTER IS MON-FRI FROM 12:00-1:00PM.

ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.

READING PROGRAM STARTS JUNE 9TH -JULY 16TH FROM 10AM-12:30PM.

ROBOTICS IS ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 1:00-2:00PM

The monthly Park Board meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at the Sheffield Recreation Center. It is an open meeting and everyone is welcome. June 8th, 2026 will be our next meeting.

Open to the public Monday-Saturday 1:00-5:00 pm Cost $3

Adult lapswim Monday-Friday 7:00-9:30am Cost $3
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 6:30-8:00pm

Private parties: Saturdays from 5:30-7:30 Sheffield Residents $150
Non Residents $175

Tackle Football: Ages 6-12 years old....Fee: $60
Flag Football: Ages 4-6 yrs old....Fee: $45
Cheer: Ages 5-12 years old....Fee: $25 plus the cost of uniform
Volleyball: Grades 3rd-6th grade.....Fee: $35

LAST DAY OF REGISTRATION AUGUST 7TH, 2026

REGISTER AT THE SHEFFIELD RECREATION DEPARTMENT. DO NOT LEAVE FORMS AT THE SCHOOLS.
