✨Best of Show!✨
Wow. I’m so honored and still taking this in… 🥹
My needle felted piece, Serene Reflections received the Best of Show award at the Sheboygan Visual Artists, Inc. Art in the Gardens exhibition!

The exhibition is filled with stunning, nature-inspired works created by SVA artists. I’m both humbled and filled with gratitude to be included in an exhibition featuring such talent and still shocked at receiving Best of Show. 🌟

Serene Reflections was inspired by the beautiful landscape at Christopher Farm & Gardens during the Plein Air event. My goal was to use the softness of the wool, meticulously hand-placed using a single felting needle, to create a feeling of calm while the water invites deep reflection. Also featured in the show is Kayak Reflections, another needle felted piece inspired by a passage through water lilies on a Northwoods lake.

Take a moment to surround yourself with some beautiful works of art, created by local artists, and go check out the exhibition, on display through September 19 (located at 534 South Pier Drive in Sheboygan.)

What a beautiful day of needle felting “painting” at the Plein Air: Art in the Gardens event! 😌

It was such a joy meeting so many people who stopped by to learn about needle felting and chat about the creative process. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and I found a lovely spot surrounded by both water and trees, with a few adorable ducks and other wildlife keeping me company throughout the day!

This piece is still a work in progress. I happily traded a little felting time for wonderful conversations with everyone who came to explore the artwork. I'll be adding the finishing details soon before submitting it to the upcoming exhibition at the Sheboygan Visual Artists Gallery later this month.

Well the outdoor weather didn’t cooperate, but that didn’t stop this family from creating a collaborative masterpiece together! I love how each person painted their own panel, with their own unique style, and the beach scene still comes together as one! ☺️ Thanks for a relaxed and fun evening Gudex family!

Sunday! I plan to be an artist at this event for the first time. This is a beautiful location and space. Tickets are still available to come see all of the artists and walk among the flowers and landscapes.

Paint a beautiful Lake Michigan scene in this relaxing workshop designed for all experience levels. Paint outside* on the patio of Blue Harbor Resort overlooking the shoreline. Each participant will be gently guided through the process of creating a serene landscape featuring Lake Michigan. 🌊 ☀️ 🎨
Plenty of time and space will be left for personal touches and individualized details. A 14”x11” inch stretched canvas will be used and all materials will be provided.
Join in and capture the serenity of the shores! Ticket price includes one free drink. The instructor will meet you in the lobby.
