Experimenting with Dark Chocolate clay and some AMACO glazes. All pieces are fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. All pieces were lined with C-36 Iron Celadon. The left most piece has a ~2inch band of either PC-70 Copper Red, or PC-56 Ancient Copper, the balance of the outside is my MNP Titanium White glaze. The middle piece is dipped in MNP Titanium White, then covered in one of the PC glazes. The piece on the right is MNP Titanium White on its own. Lots of color combinations, and I love how Dark Chocolate handles these colors.

Always make sure you test your formulas before firing! I was making my own milling media and thought I used a back of high alumina clay. The kiln was supposed to be going to cone 10-12 and this would make a great dense media. Unfortunately, the body I grabbed was a different trial and I didn't label the bag well enough. Luckily the deck wash released this mess from the kiln without ruining it. We did manage to get some salvageable media from the cycle, so in conclusion Cone 9-10, OK, cone 11-12, not-OK.
