I made this unique double story library room scene in 2013. I partially staged it but never sold it. It was one of my scratch built originals and I hung on to it until now out of sentiment. I’m moving forward though with new projects so I touched up the paint and sold it today w/out the light fixtures or accessories. I’m sure the new owner will have fun filling all the shelves and spaces with their personal collection!

1. Finished this room on schedule. 2. Set up an Etsy shop exclusively for room boxes in preparation for the new year. 3. Began designing a new room. That’s a wrap for Tuesday. Etsy shop is GinnysSmallWorld.

Sneak peak on my 17th century French ante-room progress. I can almost hear the bustle of hoop skirts, cards shuffling, & the smell of maids bringing in bourbon and pastries for Marie Antoinette while she prepares for another night of opulent ridiculousness.

A few of my mini fans asked about a room box I finished as a French or Victorian ladies’ bo***ir. The reds create an ambiance- almost a brothel feel for me. I didn’t hang pictures on the walls because It’s for sale & I don’t want to damage the wallpaper. Extra pics of the unfurnished product.

I’m back. This was a weekend’s intensive work. Damask walls, real wood floors, wainscot, crown moulding, baseboards, parquet floors... oh my! 😅

I had the privilege of seeing the Thorne Miniature Rooms at the Chicago Art Museum in person 4 years ago. As you can tell by my face I was completely star struck.

Even though I'm not actively creating new pieces these days, I still see rooms, pictures, movie scenes and think "that would look cool in miniature!" 😊

It's fun to see this one finished. I started it a couple years ago, put it in storage, and just recently decided to pull it out and get it done. I love purple.
