Phew! Just settling home after a busy 11 days on the road! Here’s a few pictures to summarize my trip.
1) My last stop was to Schaller Gallery to drop off work for my show with them, ‘Rainbow Body’, opening online, September 15, 2026
2)My first stop was to Lisa Orr for a Cohorts.Art workshop! What a great week of introspection, analyzing, and idea formulating. I looked at a lot of books and a lot of pots.
3) the Clay AKAR yunomi invitational is live! Check it out online:)
4) I had the pleasure of stopping by the Everson Museum of Art on my way home and had a great visit with Garth Johnson talking about all things 20th century clay. Pictured is a closeup of Adelaide Alsop Robineau’s masterpiece, the Apotheosis of the Toiler(Scarab vase)
5) When I visit Schaller Gallery, I’m always picking out my favorites- there are some really great John Gill pieces in the gallery. I loved spending some time with this Ewer.
Now back to the studio- lots of ideas to explore!

So excited and honored to be a part of the Clay AKAR yunomi invitational this year! The show opens next Friday at 10 AM CST- I hope you can check it out. I have 6 Yunomi available alongside the other 1100 in the show.

This show also marks the start of a run of online gallery shows for me. Keep your eyes peeled for a solo show Schaller Gallery and In Tandem Gallery - Ceramic Art Gallery in September and October. More info on my website and coming soon on socials.

I’m so excited to share that I’m featured in a new book📚! Diane Creber wrote a second book on crystalline glazes, and I am so honored that she wanted to include me as a featured artist. I just got my copy in the mail and it looks like a really fantastic compendium on crystalline glazes- I highly suggest checking it out. Many glaze recipes and firing schedules, including one of each from me, along with a brief profile on me and my work. Thank you and congratulations, Diane! Thank you to Sally for taking the photographs of my work in the book, and thank you to every one of you who has helped me get to this significant milestone in my career❤️❤️

Many of you know, but I thought I should make a post for it- I’m so happy to be working with In Tandem Gallery - Ceramic Art Gallery! 🤩🤩🤩

I will have a full solo show with them in the fall, but I have a nice selection of pieces with them available in person(Bakersville, NC) and online now. Go and check it out, alongside all the other fabulous ceramic and jewelery artists they represent.

They also took these fabulous photos- I have a hunch I should get a white backdrop too🤔

Summer is almost here and I just can’t wait! It is always such a little treat to enjoy a drink by the river in the summer- and even more of a treat when it’s out of something handmade.

Gearing up for this weekend- you can find these cups along side a ton of new pieces in booth 98. I hope to see you there! Just a reminder that the event has moved from the location at Fiserv Forum, back to the original setting at the Marcus PAC. I’m very excited about this change and I think you will all love it too.

My schedule for July has shifted a bit. I will make a new post in a few days that has my updated calendar, which is now complete and booked through the beginning of November. Sorry for the mixup and keep your eyes out!
