Ohhh dang, do we have a fun day lined up for y'all! On Friday, October 9th, we're partnering up with our neighbors at Chicory Root Tattoo Studio to raise funds for Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County! The day will feature live music from Deadelijk, pumpkin carving, and a flash tattoo fundraiser 🎃🎶

We'll kick things off with a flash tattoo fundraiser at Chicory Root from 12-7pm. Be sure to follow along on their social media pages for details on the flash designs + prices. They'll post more about that closer to the event date. Tattoo proceeds will go right back to Safe Harbor!

We'll open up our doors at 6pm for pumpkin carving and beverage service, and Deadelijk will begin their performance in the Uptown Parklet at 7pm. If the weather is uncooperative, we'll host the concert indoors. $1 from every pint sold that evening will go back to Safe Harbor!

We are so fortunate to have Safe Harbor in our community. Join us in raising money for them on October 9th!

We're closing our 6-week FREE Summer Concert Series with a bang....Radio Free Honduras! They'll be performing on our stage on ⭐️Friday, September 4th at 7pm⭐️

"Radio Free Honduras is a cross cultural, multigenerational group that was formed in 2013 with the mission of supporting the artistry of Honduran folk music legend Charlie Baran. Charlie cut his teeth in the largely undocumented music scene of Honduras in the 70s and 80s, and became widely known as a singer, songwriter and virtuoso guitarist. He was an integral part of several of the biggest musical acts in Honduras during that era, including Banda Blanca, who had a massive international hit in 1991 with their fusion cover of the Garifuna song “Sopa de Caracol.” Baran’s primary collaborator is Dan Abu-Absi, best known for his work with Americana groups Birds of Chicago and JT & the Clouds. RFH is a collective of Chicago musicians playing original music in a style they call Latin Americana."

We couldn't think of a better way to close out the series than with Radio Free Honduras! Hope to see y'all there.

The 5th performer that we'd like to reintroduce to you for our FREE Summer Concert Series is Luke Callen! Luke (& some very talented friends) will be performing on our stage on ⭐️Friday, August 28th at 7pm⭐️

"Luke Callen is a songwriter – singer – instrumentalist and poet who spends most of his time living in the Upper Midwest – where the prairie meets the big woods and the rivers all run to the Mississippi - drawing from the Old Weird Sounds of the American Musical Lexicon - Luke creates a sound that can only be described as Oddly Folk - Strangely Country and uniquely his own.

His latest album - Fool's Spring - is a twelve song contemplation on the limanlity of the changing of the seasons in the northern reaches of the United States. Recorded in a small cabin in Northern Wisconsin – it features three improvised instrumental pieces – field recordings of birds in Arkansas – Missouri – and Wisconsin – topical – personal and tongue in cheek songwriting – alongside ethereal fingerstyle and Travis style fingerpicking – accompanied by Pedal Steel – Bass – Electric Guitar – Drums – Percussion – Sounds – and Harmony Singers."

Luke performed in our shop this spring and it was so dang good, we *immediately* asked that his ensemble return for our summer series. You won't want to miss this one, folks!

Looks like the weather is on our side this week! Join us TONIGHT for an outdoor performance by The Water Street Hot Shots in the Uptown Parklet. Bring a chair and your dancin’ shoes!

Our kitchen is closed, but the rest of Uptown Sheboygan is open! Grab dinner before or take it to-go for a Parlet Picnic.

Doors at 6, show at 7! 🎶

The second band joining us for our FREE Summer Concert Series is The Water Street Hot Shots! Catch them on our hay wagon stage on Friday, August 7th at 7pm.

"The Water Street Hot Shots have been performing acoustic blues and roots music for over twenty-five years. After all that time together, they’ve played a wide variety of venues including blues and folk festivals, college lectures, weddings, BBQ joints, resorts, beer halls, barns, Memphis blues clubs, street corners, and Milwaukee’s Summerfest. Special music opportunities also fell to the Hot Shots over the years including opening for guitar hero Leo Kottke, opening for blues royalty Hubert Sumlin and Pinetop Perkins, and shared a bill with delta blues treasure David “Honeyboy” Edwards.

With a strong push to bring the 1920’s and 30’s party time blues vibe to their shows, the Hot Shots draw inspiration and repertoire from the classic jug bands, string bands, delta slide players, hokum blues, and washboard jazz bands of that era.

Slide guitarist Mike Ammons put the band together in 2000, and for over two decades, they played weekly for the supportive home crowd at the Water Street Pub, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Recently, performances at Water Street continue, but now on a monthly rotation.

Other longtime band members include Rich Higdon on washboard, Tim Dekker on fiddle, JR Fenner on bass and jug, Alan “Doc” Mock on mandolin and guitar, and Steve Irby on drums."

It's gonna be a good one, y'all!! Bring a chair and your dancin' shoes.

The fourth band in our FREE Summer Concert Series that we'd like to highlight is Mama Ginger & The Red Hots! They will be performing on ⭐️Friday, August 21st at 7pm⭐️

"Mama Ginger & the Red Hots serve up a vibrant blend of Blues, Swing, and R&B, all delivered with heart and soul. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Erin Krebs Music—a WAMI award-winning artist whose voice channels the Etta's grit, Aretha's soul, and Ella's chops—this band brings energy, emotion, and top-tier musicianship to every performance.

Erin's original song “Ride or Die” earned the 2024 Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Award for Blues Song of the Year, and Mama Ginger & the Red Hots were nominated for R&B Band of the Year in the 2025 WAMI Awards.

With a red-hot rhythm section featuring Erin's partner, guitarist Jeff Johnston they are a can't miss band for anyone who loves Blues, R&B, and Swing!

Whether you're in the mood to dance, relax, or just enjoy great music, Mama Ginger & the Red Hots deliver a memorable experience full of style, soul, and substance. Contact us to learn more about booking, repertoire, and performance options."

The next group performing in our FREE Summer Concert Series that we'd like to highlight is MOONGLOW! They'll be performing in the Uptown Parklet on Friday, August 14th at 7pm. This is an extra special show, because we're teaming up with Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County and donating 10% of ALL SALES from that weekend to support Club Kids through their Blue Door Community Pop-up. That means that 10% of *anything* purchased from us from August 14-August 16th goes right back to the kiddos of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County. 💙

We thought Moonglow would be the perfect band to join on this fundraiser! "Moonglow is a pop-soul band formed in 2019 on the east side of Milwaukee. Originally created to bring the sound of 80's City Pop to the Midwest, Moonglow quickly found their own style and niche within their original music. The band features the dynamic vocals and keyboard playing of Joe Humiston, driving funky riffs from guitarist Isaac Repinski, a Pop/Soul backbeat provided by rhythm section Brent Gastrau and Sterling Dorsey on bass and drums, and the passionate saxophone playing provided by Tyler Kraft. Their live shows aim to get you groovin' and tug on your nostalgic heart strings."

Bring your dancin' shoes, y'all! It's gonna be a fun night.

Mega bonus! This is a triple-threat weekend with a Friday night concert with MOONGLOW, weekend-long fundraiser with Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County, AND a Sunday afternoon concert with Eric Jacobson. What. A. Weekend. ✨
