Jeff Siwicki Fine Art I am a fine artist. I work with acrylics on canvas. My subject matter is urban and natural landscapes.

I apply washes of acrylics to build areas of color and value on canvas utilizing watercolor techniques. I like to invoke a sense of quiet solitude in the viewer by an absence of people in the places they normally may be seen.

In summer I think about winter. In winter I pine for summer. Especially today after shoveling wet heavy snow from my driveway. I thought about the wonderful walk I had in the Stevens Point sculpture park this past July. I came upon this piece by François Lelong. It would make an impression on me if I saw it in a museum gallery, but coming upon it alone in the woods indelibly stamped it in my mind.
