Children explore local flowers and plants through creative invitations, including weaving, painting, pastels and collage! Real plants will be used to create unique printed designs, floral arrangements and transient artwork. Hands-on and sensory opportunities will be offered with planting seeds, sand and more. There will also be a variety of stories, and age-appropriate books to guide learning and increase curiosity. Please bring a sack lunch.

Ocean-themed invitations will immerse your child in a variety of materials as they create unique, process-based art inspired by the sea. We’ll bring the seaside to the Midwest with beachy vibes, ocean creature creations, and plenty of creative exploration. Along the way, children will enjoy sensory experiences, stories, and loose parts prompts. Bring a lunch.

This week we...painted with yarn 🧶

✨ Great fine motor skills development with clothes pins to pick up yarn (or pinching fingers for the mess lovers)

✨ Various textiles offer enriching sensory input

✨ Process based work encourages true creativity and exploration

These classes are developed by, yours truly, an early childhood educator of 10 years! These classes encourage the use of important skills through play and creative exploration.
