Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art The MGMoA features art spanning 8,000 years of human history and many world cultures

Founded in 1919, the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is one of the oldest museums in the state of Oklahoma. Father Gregory Gerrer, for whom the museum is named, was a Benedictine monk of considerable artistic talent. During Father Gerrer's travels to Europe, Africa and South America, he collected objects of artistic and ethnological value. The museum's permanent collections include Egyptian, Greek and

Roman objects; art from the Renaissance through the early 20th century; and large holdings of Native American African/Oceanic and Eastern cultural artifacts. In addition, the museum offers exciting special exhibitions throughout the year.

Keep your fingers crossed—we’re really thinking tomorrow might finally be the day we can host our Concert in the Courtyard OUTSIDE! ☀️🎶

Thursday in June means Concerts in the Courtyard at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art!

I think it's becoming a tradition that Oklahoma weather has other plans for us, and many of our concerts end up moving indoors. But whether we're in the courtyard or inside the museum, the music is always wonderful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the talent is incredible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of Echoes of Time & Place: Sauk Art & Culture.

We were honored to welcome guests for an evening celebrating the rich history, traditions, and artistic expression of the Sauk people. The conversations, connections, and shared appreciation for culture and art made the event truly special.

The St. Paul’s Chancel Ringers are set up and ready to go! Join us tonight at 6:30 PM at the museum for what promises to be a beautiful and unique musical experience.

We’re also extending museum hours on Thursdays until 7:00 PM throughout our concert season, so come early to explore the galleries before the performance.

You're welcome to bring your own chair, but we'll have plenty of seating available just in case.
