my shower floor was finished on April 1. We didn’t use it until April 7. This is how it looks already on April 21. It’s cracking in several spots and 15 hours after showering, I still have wet looking spots. The water drains fine. The grout that was used is the Tec Power Grout. Looking for advice going forward. The contractor is sending out the tile guy that did it to remedy it. This will be his second visit for repairs. What should I be looking for? The contractor has very high ratings and charged accordingly. I was really looking forward to a great job but some areas are quite sloppy.

I’d appreciate any suggestions you have on this mistake…My contractor wasn’t clear with the guy who placed the tile that it was going to the ceiling, so he didn’t plan ahead of time… And there’s a small gap between the tile and the ceiling… But only in spots because of the irregular size of the tile. (Zoom into the top of this picture.) We’re going to leave it as is because I don’t want to start over, but what would you do at the top now? Should he cut slivers of tile to fill in the gap or should I have him fill it in with grout? Or maybe drywall mud? My walls and ceiling are going to be a limestone plaster so maybe the limestone could come down to meet the Tile? Any advice here? I know it’s not going to be perfect but what would make it look the best so it doesn’t stick out? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Tile has bordered edges. We want thinnest grout lines possible. Could I just butt them together then grout that edge or should we use 1/16 spacers which ends up giving a 1/8 space. Worried grout would crack without spacers. Opinions plz.

Plumber caused damage to vinyl flooring. The plumber moved our fridge to investigate a leak coming from the shower above. When he had finished I noticed the floor had been damaged and pointed it out. He said that it was the flooring and there was no way to avoid the damage. What are my rights? Many thanks in advance.

Large porcelain panels. I inquired here awhile back about getting tricks and pointers on installing 4'Ă—10' porcelain panels. Just wanted to share the almost finished product. It all went relatively well, with some learning curves. Four guys, multiple suction cups, cutting with a grinder rail system, plenty of patience, a few cuss words... thanks to everyone for advice.

What should I do with this spacing in this laundry room? How would you approach this job? 12x24 tile with 1/8 grout lines. About 3/4 inch dead space in the back. I'm open to buying different tile if that would be preferred!
