Some tiles are loose in our laundry room and I need some help. We had a handy man do it a couple years ago. The tiles have been loose for a little bit, but we just lived with it. I finally decided to work on it and have a couple questions. Can I just reattach them on top of this mesh? I like to diy stuff but I've never done tile work.

Here's one for the experienced contractors. What do you do when you're in the home and mommy and daddy and one of the adult children starts fighting and yelling and screaming and throwing s***. And then each one of them want to come around and tell you their side of the story they obviously need counseling I'm not it. That's got to be a big line item

My contractor is asking what material I want to use for the shelves because he doesn’t think he can use my subway tile. He is suggesting I use a shower threshold piece (the long time that you step over to get into the shower) that seems quite thick to me. It’s also white which I’m not sure will look good with my light blue matte subway tiles. I’d love to know what material others used for the shelves specifically. This picture is of my bathtub niche right now.

Seeing any issues yet? Work in progress DIY. Roughly 24’x12’ 2x8 framing, doubled on the perimeter and for the beams. 12” footings 2 feet deep. All joists using 2x8 hangers and the appropriate screws according to Simpson at 16” OC.

Only sides completed currently, need to frame out the tree next. Will have 2 more beams running long ways connected to the beams on the inside. Supported underneath and will then have joists running with the rest.

Decking will be 2x6 pressure treated yellow southern pine, along with the framing being the same.

Question about bathroom tiles. Bought a house a couple of months ago, one of the things I noticed was this section of tile in the bathroom that looks like this near the edge of the shower and tub. Was wondering on yalls thoughts about if this might be because of water damage or maybe just replace the tiles?

Any recommendations on how to grout under this curb, especially on the inside where it is only 1.5”? TIA
