Life update:
My cataracts have become so bad that I cannot see very well. I am finally coming to terms with the fact that until I have surgery which is months out, I cannot do any serious photography. I've also come to realize that I cannot see well enough to edit my photos on my computer, even when using a giant 60 inch monitor. I am brokenhearted and depressed. Last June, I was told by my optometrist that I had cataracts, and that the previous optometrist had logged it in my chart. He had not told me, he let me live with it for another 2 years!!! Dr. Laya shook his head, made another note in my chart and referred me to an ophthalmologist for surgery. Their office didn't call... In November I called them. They said they got the referral just a few days prior to my call. Yeah, I wasn't happy and neither was she when I told her when I had had my appointment. Then she broke it to me that my first appointment to measure my eyes wouldn't be until February. Second appointment is in the beginning of March. So, an entire year of photography is ruined. I know this will get better, but I had plans. I planned to be packing my cameras on a ton of cold weather hikes in the beginning of March through April. The actual surgery date hasn't even been scheduled.
