This Thursday I’m speaking for artist. Art is not free, our time is not free, our materials we use are not free.
Artist 🧑‍🎨 love doing what we do but we are just same as the person selling jewelry down the road, or the coffee shop, or Target lol meaning what we do deserves the same respect, support, and treatment. Our pay shouldn’t be withheld, our efforts should be acknowledged, and so fourth.
I’m not making this post because anything personally happened to me. I made this post as just a gentle reminder. Being in the art world I hear stories from other artist.

Let me tell you there are days I’ve painted art orders or requests when I was very sick. Days I worked on art requests and couldn’t afford supplies, but kept doing them even if I had to go without something for myself to afford it. I have anxiety so I can’t be overstimulated or i become sick so some days I’m slower at creating, etc these things go on behind the scenes.
Anyways be good to artists happy Thursday 🌷
