McCaffrey & Rooney Present: Bob & Sarah Amos Band
Seven Stars Arts Center, Sharon, VT
Friday, April 17th at 7 pm
with Special Guest Jim Rooney

The Vermont father-daughter duo Bob & Sarah Amos are truly on a roll. Their recent acclaimed
folk/americana album “Ever Onward” spent a full year on the national Folk charts, reaching the #1
album slot on the national FolkDJ-L chart, while their Vermont inspired song “The Hills That I Call
Home” was the #1 song for a month on the Folk Alliance International chart.
Vermont Public’s legendary “All The Traditions” show host Robert Resnik has described Bob and
Sarah’s music as “Heavenly harmonies and glorious songwriting. Every song is toe-curlingly
beautiful”.

In addition to their recent acclaimed “Ever Onward” album Bob and Sarah have just released an
acoustic Beatles album “Two Of Us”, and they will be featuring some of these songs in their 2026
shows. As Bob says, “We carefully selected Beatles songs that fit our ‘Bob & Sarah Amos Band’
style. We’ve had a blast putting together this special project, and folks are really responding to
these songs in a big way!”
Guitarist/banjoist/vocalist Bob Amos is an internationally recognized, award winning
bluegrass/folk/americana singer-songwriter whose songs have graced the top of the folk,
bluegrass and americana charts. He has recorded twelve acclaimed albums and performed
throughout the USA and Europe for over 30 years.

Singout! magazine has called Bob “one of the
most interesting and intelligent songwriters in American music”.
For the past ten years Bob has been performing with his daughter Sarah Amos, a vocalist of
remarkable power and sensitivity. This talented duo and their supporting band present a highly
entertaining and varied program, with original and traditional songs ranging from beautiful ballads
to powerful, bluesy bluegrass-tinged numbers. Their vocal blend has been called “mesmerizing”
and “a must see”. With an all-star band backing them up, including guitarist Andy Greene, bassist
Kirk Lord and mandolinist Taylor Armerding, and a wonderful variety of their unique bluegrass, folk
and Americana sounds, this is a show not to be missed!

Lynne Hanson
Friday, September 20 7:00 pm
Lynne Hanson is an Ottawa-based, Americana songwriter
known for her high energy, roots guitar
driven live performances, with an authenticity
that& #39;s as entertaining as it is disarming.

Too tough for folk and too blues-influenced for country, Lynne Hanson’s brand of porch music with a little
red dirt can turn on a dime from a sunshine, blue sky ballad to a full on thunderstorm of gritty Americana
swamp from one song to the next. Her hard living music has garnered her the nickname “Canada’s Queen of
Americana.”
And while her deep, bluesy croon has drawn comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch,
it’s the poetry of her lyrics that really sets her apart.
Winner of two Canadian Folk Music Awards, Hanson has an uncanny way of connecting with her audience
with an authenticity that is as entertaining as it is disarming.
The prolific songwriter has released nine studio albums along with
two books of poetry over her 18 year solo career.
She’s toured extensively across North America, Europe and the UK, and appeared at leading international
festivals including Take Root (Netherlands), Glasgow Americana (Scotland), Maverick Festival (UK),
Kerrville Folk Festival (US),
and Winnipeg Folk Festival (Canada).
She has also toured as support for Grammy-nominated artists like Gretchen Peters,
Steve Forbert and Albert Lee.
Lynne Hanson will release her tenth studio album “Just A Poet” in Spring 2024.
