Koepnick Pottery Custom High Fired Coast Sea Life Design Stoneware created in the South Brunswick Islands along the North Carolina Coast. We have seen so much in life already.

We have been through all parts of the world so far. Starting off in the great California coastal lifestyle, to the fabulous seas in New Zealand. Then onto to rolling waves in Africa, to the heart of the Carolinas. Being a surfboarding enthusiast for over 30+ years and avid fisherman we have found a place to call home. The spirit watching over our paths have finally brought us to the great home of

the Carolinas. We continue to be excited about our journey with our SeaLife Design Pottery along the North Carolina coast.

We think that this capture from Brenda Torrey Photography is simply spectacular! It's not everyday that you see an owl on the beach.

As I walked out the access this morning, I saw something big fly out and land on the beach. It was just before sunrise so it was still rather dark out. I was pretty sure it was an owl though! If I hadn’t seen it fly I would’ve thought it was a dog or a fox sitting there. I could see someone walking towards me from the other direction so I knew I only had seconds before the owl would be spooked and fly away. I whipped out my camera and UGH! It instantly fogged up. 😭 It’s officially that time of year that you cannot go from an air conditioned house to a humid beach and immediately use your camera. I quickly wiped the lens with my tshirt 😱🤣 and was able to get this shot. It’s grainy and heavily cropped but I still love it because of how magical the moment felt. An owl on the beach!!!
