The Ship’s Navigator!
After meeting Captain O'Malley in the village, Miranda learned they had no navigator for the ship. She happily volunteered for the role, certain she could handle it, and craving adventure. Unfortunately it turns out she is pretty bad at directions and being at sea did not make that any better. What she lacks in a sense of direction she makes up for in the abilities to befriend merfolk and blow bubbles!

Raised by a midwife and village doctor, Saorise (pronounced SAIR-sha) got bored of studying human biology long ago. When she reached adulthood, a chance meeting with the Loch Ness Monster, while visiting relatives, alerted her to the existence of magical creatures, and she has been fascinated ever since! Mermaids being her specialty, she joined the crew to keep the mers at MNRF happy and healthy all year long. 🧜🏻‍♀️ 🧜🏻‍♂️

She is a quirky little being with lots of exaggerated facial expressions. She is slowly learning English and American Sign Language. She lives most of the year in the Fairy Pools of Scotland but comes to the Renaissance Festival to see her Cove family and friends.

Captain Grace O'Malley

O’Malley spent years on the sea under the tutelage of her father. When given the opportunity to captain her own ship, she jumped at the chance and the Serenity became hers.

With her crew at her side, she traveled the great wide ocean, sailing for adventure, and came across her first mermaid, Alora.

With Alora's help they found other mers and brought them to the Mermaid Cove to bring joy to the people at the request of Queen Katherine.
