Hello all,

Due to spring break for many students falling during auditions, we have made the decision that all initial auditions will now be by video submission only. The deadline to submit a video to be considered for the production will be Thursday, March 23, @ 5:00PM. PLEASE NOTE, you will need to sing to an accompaniment track for your audition video. Please no a capella singing. There will be no initial in-person auditions for this production. If you previously signed up for an audition time, your appointment has been canceled and you will need to submit a video audition. You also need to complete the audition form BEFORE you submit your video audition. The link for the audition form and to submit your video are included below. Thank you.

SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL

Anyone Middle school, Highschool, or college age can audition!!

Every summer HBTI mounts a full scale musical. All roles are cast through the audition process. All cast members must take classes for at least one session over the course of the summer. Participation in the production serves as a lab for the training program. Do not register for the production until after auditions. There is a production fee of $250.

It is my great pleasure and honor to announce that KATIE GIBSON is the new HBTI Director. Katie has been a faculty member since HBTI began in 2013. She graduated from Bowling Green University as a Vocal Performance Major. In addition, Katie studied Ballet, Tap and Jazz for 18 years. Katie is involved with dance, choreography and theatre at many places in Northeast Ohio. She teaches and creates choreography for Mount Union and Ashland colleges, Hudson High School, Cleveland Heights High School and Blank Canvas Theatre. Katie has developed theatre programs for Wayne Center for the Arts. She is also a performer and had featured or principal roles in West Side Story at TrueNorth and Mamma Mia! at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre. HBTI is very lucky to have KATIE GIBSON as our new director Congratulations KATIE!
