Southern Indiana Center for the Arts is open 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, $ by appointment. Rockford is located just north of Seymour's city limit.

It is the mission of the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts to provide art education and enjoyment to the surrounding communities, both in a gallery and studio environment and to educate through Art. If you are out of town and drop by when the Art Center is not open, you may call the numbers posted in the window and might possibly get someone to open for you. The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts is located off Highway 11 (Ewing Street) in Rockford. Look for SICA's sign on the west side of the highway across from the little white church. If you are driving on I-65, use the Seymour-Jonesville exit. Drive south on Highway 11 approximately three miles. After you cross the White River you will come to a stop light. Just after the stop light start looking to the right for the SICA sign. If you pass the "Welcome to Seymour" sign, you have gone too far! We love visitors, so please stop by! You are always welcome at SICA!

Your little one could be starting dance THIS Thursday at SICA!

Our six-week session is a chance to explore that love of twirling and moving at a reasonable price, with an experienced instructor and plenty of personal attention.

Led by veteran ballerina Renee Hodge, classes are expected to have around five students each, giving your child room to ask questions, build confidence, and learn with guidance from someone who knows ballet.

Does your little one dance around the living room? Here’s a chance to see where that joy takes them. 🩰

SICA’s dance classes are a six-week introduction to the world of ballet. Your child gets to explore creative movement or ballet from a talented and experience dancer and instructor.

✨ Creative Movement, ages 3–5: Music, movement, and playful props

✨ Level 1 Ballet, ages 6–8: Ballet basics and simple routines

Both classes meet Thursdays, October 8–November 12, with instructor Renee Hodge. Creative Movement is $75 for the session; Level 1 Ballet is $100.
