Yesterday we were at Emmanuel Lutheran in York, NE for a school assembly and an evening concert as part of their celebrations for National Lutheran Schools Week. It was a wonderful day! The assembly was great - the students were attentive and eager to listen, learn, and participate. The concert was wonderful - the audience was warm, appreciative, and so supportive. We are grateful for Lutheran education for every stage of life.

Tune in to Nebraska Public Media this Wednesday, October 29, at 11:35am. The Concordia Handbell Choir will be performing three pieces on air. FM 91.1 in the Lincoln/Seward area or listen live on nebraskapublicmedia.com. We had a mini dress rehearsal earlier tonight, and we're ready to go!

The Concordia Handbell Choir is at Christ Lutheran in Lincoln this morning for their three sanctuary worship services. This is a group of fantastic students who love God and are committed to music.

Prof. Jessica Kite’s 19 years as Director of Handbell Choirs at Concordia come to a close this semester. She and her family will be moving away from Seward this summer to live closer to her husband’s job.

“It has been a true blessing to work with Concordia’s handbell choirs for so many years. When I began directing at Concordia in 2006, I never imagined the way the program would grow and be supported by so many people. We have performed so much great music together! Sharing our faith and our love of ringing in performances has been such a rewarding experience. I will miss the students and dedicated faculty very much,” said Kite.

Concordia Handbell Choir took a quick trip outside to the south side of the Borland Center last week for an impromptu performance of Acclamation. We had a few windy page turns, but held it together! (Not pictured: Sam Olson- on his way from track practice!)
