Thanks to everyone that came to the performances this weekend. And a special thanks to the cast and crew for sticking it out thru all the noise and chaos, all the while delivering a spot on performance.

We Have Some Exciting News !!
As we have been developing our production, We have come up with a unique way to present the "Trial to end all Trials" to you. We have decided to split the play into 2 sections and perform the first day of the trial on Saturday , and the conclusion on Sunday. The events in the play take place over a two day period, so we are following suit.

Here is a preview of the set that we are creating.
Those of you who are familiar with Clive Barkers work, will recognize a familiar pattern in the set design. The Lament Configuration was a very influential design element. Its ties to Hell, Temptation and Deception in the Clive Barker universe are echoed in the plays narrative. The rest of the set is made up of large sandstone blocks set in a radial pattern , as if this court is convening on a long forgotten ruins.

CASTING NOTICE
"The History of the Devil"

A play by Clive Barker
Produced by Brainchild Creative
Directed by Hannah Williams

SCHEDULE:
First read through Sunday, July 21st at 7:00PM.
Weekly rehearsals begin Tuesday, July 23rd.
Rehearsals to take place: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:00PM – 10:00PM
Saturday 10:00AM-2:00PM.
Rehearsals will be held at Creative Theatre in Pigeon Forge.

Performances at CreepyCon Knoxville, August 24th and 25th.
For the convention, play run time will be around one hour.
Small stipend available.

THE PLAY:
In Clive Barker's The History of the Devil, a deprived and lovelorn Satan is sick and tired of living in Hell. He bemoans the loss of his angel-wings, his freedom of flight, his elegance, and grace. He misses God. He calls a trial, his appeal, to seek re-admittance into Heaven. As the trial moves through space and time, we revisit scenes of humanity's great failures - or are they the work of the Devil, his own wicked crimes? If Satan wins his day in court, he'll be with his Father in Heaven. If he loses? He'll spend eternity here with us.

Much of the play takes place in a warm courtroom. Flashbacks of history spanning multiple countries and time periods are seen. Adeptness at other accents encouraged. All actors (with the exception of the Devil) will play a variety of other roles.

Please prepare a monologue (one minute or less in length) that you allows you to express yourself honestly and boldly. Perfection not required. Contact Hannah Williams at [email protected] with any further questions.

Devoted servant of the Devil. Gorgeous, civilized, dark, often androgynous. Able to balance complete love and devotion with complete hatred. Fiery.

Jane Beck
Female, 20-35
An understated woman. In a relationship with Catharine. Unsure of herself and easily swayed. Capable of a youthful energy.
