Thank you SO much to everyone who came out and celebrated with us all weekend long. Our tribute to Dolly was truly something special, and seeing so many of you join us in honoring her life, music, and incredible legacy meant more than we can say. 💕 From the pink and purple to the butterflies, music, memories, and all the love shared around the Cove, it was a weekend we won’t forget.

🦋 TONIGHT IS A SPECIAL ONE AT THE COVE. 🦋

As we spend this weekend celebrating the life, music, and incredible legacy of Dolly Parton, we couldn’t have imagined a more meaningful way to honor her than through the music she loved so much.

Tonight, Joe Lee will be joined by a very special guest, Gary “Biscuit” Davis, Dolly’s longtime bandleader, musician, and friend.

For more than two decades, Biscuit shared stages, songs, miles on the road, and countless memories with Dolly. To have someone who was such a meaningful part of her musical journey joining us here on Douglas Lake during our Weekend for Dolly is something we are truly honored to be a small part of.

Tonight won’t just be another night of live music at the Cove. It’s an opportunity to gather together, hear stories and songs from someone who knew and worked alongside Dolly, and celebrate the woman who gave so much to East Tennessee and brought a little piece of the Smoky Mountains everywhere she went. 💗

🦋 A WEEKEND FOR DOLLY 🦋

This Saturday & Sunday, Otter’s Cove is turning a little pink, purple and sparkly as we celebrate the life, music and incredible legacy of Dolly Parton. 💗

Being so close to the Smoky Mountains and the community Dolly loved so deeply, we wanted to take this weekend to honor a woman who meant so much to East Tennessee and to people around the world.

Throughout the weekend:

💗 Our team will be dressed in pink, purple, Dolly attire, rhinestones and plenty of sparkle and we would love to see you sparkle with us for her!

🎶 Our live music will begin with a moment of silence in Dolly’s honor, followed by some of her most-loved songs throughout the performances.

🦋 You’ll find butterflies throughout the Cove as a little tribute to Dolly.

📚 A donation box will be available at the front of the restaurant for anyone who would like to make a contribution to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in her honor.

From the mountains she called home to all of us here on Douglas Lake, this weekend is for Dolly.

And most importantly…

Thank you, Dolly. 💗

Thank you for never forgetting where you came from. Thank you for loving these mountains and the people who call them home. Thank you for the music, the memories, the laughter, the generosity and the countless lives you touched through everything you gave back.

Dolly was so much more than the songs we all know by heart. She was a piece of East Tennessee, and her love for the Smoky Mountains could be felt in everything she did.

We may only be one little restaurant on Douglas Lake, but this weekend we want to do our part to celebrate someone who did so much for all of us.

We’ll miss you, Dolly. Thank you for making East Tennessee proud, for making our mountains shine a little brighter and for always giving back to the place you called home.

Your music will keep playing.
Your legacy will keep giving.
And we will always love you, Dolly. 🦋💗

🦦MEET LISA!

If you’ve spent any time at Otter’s Cove, there’s a pretty good chance you already know Lisa because she truly is the heart of the Cove. 💙

As our General Manager, Lisa is the one who keeps all the moving pieces together, but what she brings to Otter’s Cove goes so much further than a title.

She’s behind the bar when we need an extra hand, checking on tables, helping the kitchen, solving problems, welcoming guests, supporting our crew, planning events… and apparently grabbing the microphone when the moment calls for it. 😂🎤

Lisa pours her heart into this place every single day. She cares about our team, our customers and this little spot on Douglas Lake that has grown into something we’re incredibly proud to call the Cove.

The truth is, we couldn’t do what we do without her. So much of what Otter’s Cove has become today has Lisa’s hard work, dedication and love behind it.

Lisa, thank you for believing in the Cove, for loving it like your own, and for helping bring us to where we are today. We’re beyond lucky to have you leading this crazy crew. 🦦💙

So next time you see Lisa running around the Cove, make sure you say hello and if you hear her on the mic… you better listen up. 😂🎤
