A beautiful fact about Art is that there is no age requirement for creativity. My grandson, Augustus, spent time painting in my home studio, and it was a beautiful reminder of his mom, Willow, and of another moment etched into my heart forever - when I captured this when she was a child❤️

One of the greatest gifts of curating Lumber Lane Gallery is the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of artists — not just within our own walls, but wherever life takes us.

Recently, I had the joy of visiting my talented niece in Alabama and spending sister-time surrounded by her artwork and creativity. Every artist carries a unique way of seeing the world, and every visit reminds me why art matters so deeply — it connects us, tells stories, and makes us feel a little more human.

As a gallery owner, traveling and experiencing other artists’ spaces continually inspires me and brings fresh perspective back home to the gallery. Creativity truly has no boundaries. 🎨

Today was a beautiful full-circle moment at The Lumberyard. 🎨

Students from Milton Pope School returned with artwork and essays inspired by words they drew from our word jar—and now their creations are part of our Emerging Artist Hallway.

From one simple word… to something truly meaningful.

This is what it’s all about—creating space for young artists to be seen, heard, and celebrated. 💕
